NFL Futures Betting Odds 2023-24: Best Picks for Super Bowl 58 Entering Week 16

When it comes to which NFL team is most likely to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February, Vegas has had the same handful of contenders cycling around at the top of the futures odds.

Through 15 weeks of play, it's essentially been the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles with the best Super Bowl odds, with teams such as the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins horning in from time to time.

But up-and-down play from Kansas City and Philadelphia alike has caused the odds to shift over the last few weeks; the three teams with the best Super Bowl odds heading into Week 16 are not the same three teams from a week ago.

Let's take a closer look at the safest bets right now in terms of crowning a champion come Super Bowl LVIII.

San Francisco 49ers

Super Bowl odds: +220

Not only do the 11-3 San Francisco 49ers retain their spot as the team Vegas most favors to win it all in Super Bowl LVIII, but their odds improved following their massive 45-29 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15.

Thanks in large part to running back Christian McCaffrey, who had three touchdowns, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who had two, the 49ers clinched the NFC West with that win over Arizona.

Now, if the 49ers can win two of their remaining three, they'll also lock down the No. 1 seed.

Only two teams in the league have won 11 games; San Francisco is the NFC's representative in that category. The AFC team with the same number of wins will actually face off against the 49ers on Christmas Day in what could very well be a Super Bowl preview. Let's take a closer look at the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens.

Super Bowl odds: +550

Ahead of Week 16, the Ravens are the sole AFC team to have clinched a playoff berth, but they have not yet won the AFC North.

They can do that on Monday night with a win over the 49ers, but their destiny does not rest solely in their hands. Baltimore will also need a Browns loss or tie (or a tie of its own and a Browns loss) to clinch the division.

A win could be hard to come by for the Ravens; their rushing offense is the top in the league, but they just lost running back Keaton Mitchell for the season to a torn ACL. The Niners' top-three run defense will prove to be a crucial test.

With four consecutive victories, the Ravens own the longest current win streak in the AFC. The team with the third-highest Super Bowl odds, however, just pulled out a win in Week 15 after two straight losses. Can it keep the Ws coming?

Kansas City Chiefs

Super Bowl odds: +700

Thanks to a win over the New England Patriots in Week 15, the Chiefs have reentered the upper echelon when it comes to Super Bowl odds.

A week after he complained to Josh Allen during the post-game handshake following loss to the Buffalo Bills, Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City got the job done against New England. At 9-5, the Chiefs have a clinching scenario on the table for their Week 16 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day. Quite simply, win and they're in.

If the Denver Broncos tie the Patriots, Kansas City would only need its own tie in Week 16 to claim the AFC West title.

Thanks in large part to a recent stumble that saw them drop three of five, the Chiefs haven't been the odds-on favorite to repeat as champions in many weeks. Winning the division, however, would certainly catch Vegas' attention.
