Fantasy Football Week 15 Cheat Sheet: Deep Sleepers to Target
In a perfect world, fantasy football managers would have their entire roster at their disposal come playoff time.
In reality, though, many fantasy managers will be merely trying to hold on in Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season. Injuries continue to thin the player pool, forcing managers to scramble for roster reinforcements on the waiver wire.
We're here to help with those searches by spotlighting three of our top deep-league targets who are rostered in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros.
Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals (45 Percent Rostered)
1 of 3
If you wound up streaming Jake Browning in either of the last two weeks, that might be the reason you're (presumably) still alive in your league's playoffs.
Following the old if it ain't broke, don't fix it logic, then, it's absolutely worth seeing whether this magical run can continue.
Over his last two outings, he has completed 50-of-61 passes (82 percent) for 629 yards and three touchdowns against one interception. He also produced a rushing score in each contest. He was the second-highest scoring fantasy quarterback over this stretch, per FantasyPros.
His fantasy floor is rising quickly, and his ceiling is nothing short of QB1 status.
D'Onta Foreman, RB, Chicago Bears (44 Percent Rostered)
2 of 3
Between D'Onta Foreman's injury absence in Week 12 and the team's bye in Week 13, the Bears could've recalibrated their backfield if they wanted.
They instead used their Week 14 triumph over the Detroit Lions to further cement Foreman's status as the top running back in this rotation.
The veteran back saw 13 touches in his return, gaining 50 yards on 11 carries and collecting two of his three targets for another 22 yards. Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson, meanwhile, managed just 14 yards on four carries combined, and neither was targeted in the passing game.
This rushing attack might run through quarterback Justin Fields first, but Foreman is clearly leading the running back room and could have an opportunity to make plenty of noise throughout the fantasy playoffs.
Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers (21 Percent Rostered)
3 of 3
Some might want to avoid Quentin Johnston with the Chargers having lost Justin Herbert to a season-ending fractured finger.
That's not, however, the injury that might most impact Johnston's outlook.
Instead, that ailment is the heel injury that will sideline Keenan Allen on Thursday night. That absence could pave a path for Johnston, a rookie first-rounder with incredible physical gifts, to serve as the club's No. 1 receiver.
He could put up huge numbers if he winds up handling a role of that size. Over his last two outings, he managed to turn 11 targets into eight receptions for 143 yards. He's a huge-play-waiting-to-happen, and he could have plenty of chances to hit on those home runs.
