Charlotte Bobcats vs. New York Knicks: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread and More

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

The New York Knicks are hosting the Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday night in a game that both teams direly need to win.

New York (2-3) is favored and may have Amar’e Stoudemire back on the floor as well as Iman Shumpert.

That would give their slumping offense a boost and a good chance to win over the Bobcats (1-4), who have been losing by large margins over their past three games.

What's At Stake?

The Knicks are trying to get their offense going now that Stoudemire is probably going to be back in the lineup, and they desperately need to see some production from him.

They have been shooting terribly as a team and scoring less than 85 points in their three losses this season, an awful number for a Mike D’Antoni-coached team.

Charlotte is struggling this season with just a single win and has been getting rocked since they won the season opener against Milwaukee and faltered by just one point to the Miami Heat.

They are hoping to change their luck tonight and know that a win here would be huge to turn their team back on the right track.

What They're Saying

Mark Hale of the New York Post found that Stoudemire feels good about his chances to return to the floor tonight.

"

“I feel good,” he said. “[Yesterday] was a great indication on how my ankle feels. I came out, was able to practice a little bit [yesterday]. We didn’t do much as far as physical play, but I was able to get out there and step the foot back on the basketball court and see how it feels. Still a game-time decision.”

"

The Sports Network via The Bellingham Herald found that Bobcats’ coach Paul Silas isn’t pleased with his team's performance in the blowout loss to the Cavaliers.

"

"Our pick-and-roll defense wasn't there and I just don't think we came with enough energy in the second half," said Bobcats head coach Paul Silas. "It's just not going to work unless we play hard all the time."

Bobcats Player to Watch: Bismack Biyombo

B-Smack has been logging more and more minutes as the season progresses and is finally contributing in a meaningful way.

He’s been blocking shots, rebounding and even finding a way to add a bucket or two despite his extremely raw offensive game.

See if he continues to improve and get meaningful time tonight.

Knicks Player to Watch: Amar’e Stoudemire

The superstar big man should finally return after a two-game hiatus with a sprained left ankle.

If the Knicks want to earn a top seed in the playoffs, they’ll need him to get back to his normal form quickly and help them win some games.

Key Matchup: Point Guard

D.J. Augustin has been on fire for the Bobcats and is more skilled than any player on the Knicks roster at his position.

However, if Iman Shumpert can indeed come back (he is a game-time decision), New York would have someone more suited to lock down the opposing PG.

Prediction

Knicks 124, Bobcats 110
