Fantasy Football Week 14 Rankings: Projections for Players With Matchups We Love
The tick of fantasy football's clock will be the loudest it's ever been during Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season.
That's when most leagues hold their final matchup of the regular season, meaning all remaining playoff wishes will be granted or dashed between now and Monday night.
While you'd need a crystal ball to know for certain what's about to happen, you can follow the breadcrumbs of this season to find the best matchups to exploit. We'll spotlight the top matchup and lay out our point-per-reception rankings at each of the four skill positions.
Quarterback
1 of 4
Top 10
1. Dak Prescott, DAL (vs. PHI)
2. Jalen Hurts, PHI (at DAL)
3. Josh Allen, BUF (at KC)
4. Brock Purdy, SF (vs. SEA)
5. Patrick Mahomes, KC (vs. BUF)
6. Lamar Jackson, BAL (vs. LAR)
7. Tua Tagovailoa, MIA (vs. TEN)
8. Justin Fields, CHI (vs. DET)
9. Justin Herbert, LAC (vs. DEN)
10. C.J. Stroud, HOU (at NYJ)
Best matchup: Dak Prescott vs. Philadelphia Eagles
If you're a fan of fireworks, then Sunday night's collision between the Cowboys and Eagles is a can't-miss matchup. Prescott has provided plenty on his own in recent weeks, as he's sprinting into this matchup on the heels of having thrown for 560 yards and seven touchdowns over his last two outings.
He could take things a step further against the Eagles, though. Their defense has been the league's most generous to fantasy quarterbacks, per Yahoo, and has allowed four of the last five quarterbacks it's faced—including Prescott himself in Week 9—to throw for 300-plus yards and multiple touchdowns.
Projected stats: 27-of-37 passing for 303 yards and two touchdowns, four carries for 13 yards
Running Back
2 of 4
Top 10
1. Christian McCaffrey, SF (vs. SEA)
2. Alvin Kamara, NO (vs. CAR)
3. Tony Pollard, DAL (vs. PHI)
4. Kyren Williams, LAR (at BAL)
5. Zack Moss, IND (at CIN)
6. De'Von Achane, MIA (vs. TEN)
7. Austin Ekeler, LAC (vs. DEN)
8. Travis Etienne, JAX (at CLE)
9. Bijan Robinson, ATL (vs. TB)
10. Josh Jacobs, LV (vs. MIN)
Best matchup: Alvin Kamara vs. Carolina Panthers
Opportunity keeps knocking for Kamara, who's coming off his sixth 20-touch outing since the start of October. The Saints have little reason to alter their strategy, since his Week 13 performance featured 109 scrimmage yards and two scores on 20 touches.
If his volume stays anywhere near this high, he could pummel a Panthers defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs.
Projected stats: 15 carries for 63 yards and one touchdown, five receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown
Wide Receiver
3 of 4
Top 10
1. Tyreek Hill, MIA (vs. TEN)
2. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (vs. PHI)
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (at CHI)
4. Keenan Allen, LAC (vs. DEN)
5. Stefon Diggs, BUF (at KC)
6. A.J. Brown, PHI (at DAL)
7. Justin Jefferson, MIN (at LV)
8. Michael Pittman Jr., IND (at CIN)
9. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (vs. IND)
10. Deebo Samuel, SF (vs. SEA)
Best matchup: CeeDee Lamb vs. Philadelphia Eagles
You know Lamb is in some kind of groove when his Weeks 11 and 12 outings qualified as down games even though he caught a touchdown pass in each one. It's just that he didn't finish with double-digit receptions or triple-digit receiving yards, marks he's otherwise hit in four of his last six contests.
He doesn't need a good matchup to go for video-game numbers, but if he gets a favorable one, he'll exploit. This Eagles defense, which is dead last in fantasy points allowed to the position, is the same one Lamb ripped for 11 receptions and 191 receiving yards in Week 9.
Projected stats: 10 receptions for 131 yards and two touchdowns
Tight End
4 of 4
Top 10
1. Travis Kelce, KC (vs. BUF)
2. T.J. Hockenson, MIN (at LV)
3. George Kittle, SF (vs. SEA)
4. Sam LaPorta, DET (at CHI)
5. Jake Ferguson, DAL (vs. PHI)
6. Dalton Kincaid, BUF (at KC)
7. Evan Engram, JAX (at CLE)
8. Isaiah Likely, BAL (vs. LAR)
9. Taysom Hill, NO (vs. CAR)
10. Dallas Goedert, PHI (at DAL)
Best matchup: Sam LaPorta at Chicago Bears
LaPorta, a second-round rookie, has already established himself as one of the most reliable fantasy options at the position. While he'd mostly intrigued with an impressively high floor, he raised his ceiling several stories his last time out. On Sunday, he shredded the Saints for a season-high nine receptions (on nine targets) for 140 yards and a touchdown.
He probably won't deliver another 100-yard effort, but he could easily post a top-five point total at the position against a Bears defense surrendering the 10th-most fantasy points to tight ends.
Projected stats: Six receptions for 68 yards and one touchdown
