NFL Futures Betting Odds 2023-24: Best Picks for Super Bowl 58 Entering Week 14

Michelle BrutonDec 8, 2023

With just a quarter of the season left to play, the NFL playoff picture is coming into clearer focus, and with it, a better assessment of which teams have the best chance to win it all come February.

The usual suspects have all cycled in and out of Vegas' Super Bowl odds throughout the season, but there have been some notable shake-ups heading into Week 14.

The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (8-4) have dropped out of the top three teams in NFL futures, while the 9-3 Miami Dolphins have climbed into the top three and are looking to prove that they can win against teams with a record higher than .500.

Let's take a closer look at the three teams to which, ahead of Week 14, Vegas has assigned the highest Super Bowl odds and break down what makes them strong and what could cause them to stumble.

San Francisco 49ers

Super Bowl odds: +310

Despite a three-game losing slump midseason, the San Francisco 49ers have put together an unvarnished winning streak since their Week 9 bye, improving to 9-3 on the season.

That's crowded territory, as four other teams are also .750 on the season (all behind the 10-2 Philadelphia Eagles). But the 49ers have set themselves apart in Vegas' view, with the best odds to win it all come February heading into Week 14 thanks in large part to thrashing those same league-best Eagles 42-19 in Week 13.

On Sunday, San Francisco will host the 6-6 Seattle Seahawks, and there's nothing about the matchup to suggest the outcome will hurt the Niners' Super Bowl odds. San Francisco is getting healthy at the right time, with quarterback Brock Purdy, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle all at the top of their powers.

That doesn't even take into account the Niners' defense, one of the top five in the league, which should make easy work of the middling Seahawks.

Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl odds: +550

The Eagles may have suffered an embarrassing loss to the high-powered 49ers in Week 13, but they're still the cream of the cop at 10-2, and Vegas doesn't seem overly worried about their chances of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy; Philly has the second-highest Super Bowl odds in the league.

A statement win by the Eagles in their Week 14 matchup against the division foe Dallas Cowboys, an NFL superpower themselves at 9-3 on the season, could solidify their Lombardi odds. Similarly, a loss could give Vegas some pause here. Philadelphia has gone 1-2 in their last three, while Dallas hasn't lost since Week 9. (As an interesting aside, Dallas also found itself on the wrong side of a San Francisco blowout this season.)

With a win, Philadelphia would put a little more breathing room between itself and Dallas at the top of the NFC East and put itself in favorable standing for the NFC's No. 1 seed. Ultimately, this week's matchup will shine a spotlight on Dallas' defense, which has struggled against the likes of the Bills, 49ers and even the Cowboys a month ago. To strengthen their futures odds, the Eagles need to prove they can fend off the league's stronger teams.

Miami Dolphins

Super Bowl odds: +650

The Dolphins have drifted in and out of the top three when it comes to Super Bowl odds this season, but a three-game winning streak coming out of their Week 10 bye has Vegas feeling good about Miami.

And a Week 14 matchup against the 4-8 Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football should keep the Dolphins moving forward in the right direction as the playoff picture takes shape.

Following this week's matchup with Tennessee, Miami has a reasonably tough schedule to close out the season, including the Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens.

A lot of ink has been spilled this season about Miami's struggles against teams with winning records. A strong showing against the Cowboys and/or the Ravens would go a long way toward Vegas' estimation of the Dolphins, and games against the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills in the final stretch should be winnable.
