Updated 2024 NFL Draft Order After Sunday's Week 13 Results
The race for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft took another twist on Sunday.
The Arizona Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers and moved out of the No. 2 pick, which benefited the New England Patriots.
New England's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers put it into the No. 2 position behind the Chicago Bears, who still hold the top selection thanks to their 2023 trade with the Carolina Panthers.
Carolina became the first team to get eliminated from the playoffs with its loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Panthers may not win for the rest of the season, so the Patriots may be forced to settle for the No. 2 pick.

New England Jumps Arizona for No. 2 Pick
2 of 3
New England's offensive futility was on display yet again on Sunday.
The second shutout loss of the season was painful to watch for Patriots fans, but at least it came with a reward.
The Patriots jumped the Cardinals for the No. 2 pick after Arizona's surprise road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The upward movement puts the Patriots in a great spot to revamp the quarterback position.
Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe have not worked out for the AFC East side, and it is apparent that neither quarterback could be back next season.
A top-two pick would allow the Patriots to select either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye in April.
The Patriots could even have the chance to choose between the quarterback prospects if the Bears keep Justin Fields and use the top pick on another position.
Washington Keeps Gaining Ground in Race for Top Five Pick
3 of 3
The Washington Commanders extended their losing run to four games with a defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins.
Washington's ninth loss of the season moved it up to the No. 4 pick in the projected draft order ahead of the Bears, who were off on Sunday.
The Commanders already fired defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio and head coach Ron Rivera might be on the way out as well.
A top-five selection would allow the Commanders to reset things inside the franchise under new owner Josh Harris.
Washington is off in Week 14 and then it has at least three losses on its schedule. The only potential win would come against the New York Jets in Week 16, and even that game could turn into a loss if its defense continues to get ripped apart by opponents.
