Bengals vs. Jaguars: Updated Odds, Money Line, Spread, Props to Watch for MNF

Michelle BrutonDec 4, 2023

On Monday Night Football this week, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars meet for the first time since 2021.

For the Bengals, that season ended in a trip to the Super Bowl. The Jaguars, on the other hand, went 3-14.

A lot has changed since then. Jacksonville is sitting in the driver's seat, leading the AFC South and just one win away from being tied for the best record in the conference.

The Bengals, due in large part to Joe Burrow's season-ending wrist injury, have dropped three straight. It's no surprise, then, that the Jaguars are 10-point favorites heading into the game.

Let's take a closer look at the spread and other odds for Monday night's AFC clash, as well as player prop bets worth considering.

MNF Props to Watch

2 of 2

Joe Mixon over 47.5 Rushing Yards (-120)

With Jake Browning under center for the Bengals last week, Joe Mixon inexplicably attempted only eight carries for 16 yards total. Totaling 25 rushing yards and 197 passing yards without Joe Burrow isn't a winning recipe for the Bengals, and indeed, they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 16-10.

This week, look for Cincinnati to get Mixon involved early and often. Jacksonville's run defense isn't going to make it easy; the Jags are allowing just 87.4 rushing yards per game, the fourth-least in the league. But that still leaves Mixon the space to top this prop. Moreover, Jacksonville's season-total run defense stats don't tell the full story; per FantasyPros, since Week 7 the Jaguars have allowed the fourth-highest explosive run rate and have the 12th-highest missed tackles per attempt.

Trevor Lawrence under 1.5 Passing TDs (-130)

The Jaguars are 8-3 on the season and Trevor Lawrence has thrown for the 12th-most yards among quarterbacks.

But when it comes to putting up points, Lawrence hasn't been connecting with pass-catchers in the end zone all that often this season. Lawrence has 12 passing touchdowns so far this season, which puts him behind 19 other quarterbacks. The signal-caller has had two games this season with no passing touchdowns and six other where he managed just one.

The Bengals defense is allowing 1.2 passing touchdowns per game on average this season, tied for 10th-best in the league.

Calvin Ridley over 57.5 Receiving Yards (-120)

Calvin Ridley has amassed more than 57.5 receiving yards in just under half of his games played this season (five). And he's set to face a Bengals defense that is giving up 249.6 passing yards per game, the seventh-most in the league. (In their last three, the Bengals have given up 290.7, the third-most of that time span. Yikes!)

Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, who commands a fair portion of passes from Lawrence, is battling a rib injury. Even if he's on the field, it's reasonable to assume he'll be limited, which further supports taking the over here.
