Buying or Selling Latest CM Punk Rumors, Roman Reigns' Royal Rumble Opponent and More
The main topic on the pro wrestling rumor mill this week won't be hard for fans to guess.
It's all about CM Punk.
Fine, not literally, but it's pretty darn close considering the sport continues to sort through the aftermath of his stunning return to WWE and first promo on Raw.
That has the rumor mill abuzz about possible feuds, other returns and all the happenings around one of the biggest stories in the sporting world right now.
One even happens to include the name "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, a real exclamation point of a capper to a wild week.
Here's a look at the hottest items on the rumor mill and whether fans should buy or sell.
CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin Dream Match on the Table?
1 of 4The dream match can finally happen.
Or at least that should have been on the minds of fans pretty much as soon as Punk walked back into the WWE realm.
And right on cue, Fightful Select (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News) reported that some within WWE are already pushing for a Punk-Stone Cold match.
It's a no-brainer of a buy. Punk and Austin have brushed shoulders in the past, with tense encounters even coming at something as silly as promotion for an upcoming video game. When it comes to fantasy booking, there are few bigger "what if" matches.
And now it can happen considering Austin has been back in a limited capacity and looked good in the ring. Maybe this isn't in the immediate plans, but it sure feels like it should be on the shortlist of Punk possibilities.

Ideas on the Identity of AEW's The Devil Persona
2 of 4Over in AEW land, one of the most interesting things going on at this point in time is the continued mystery around The Devil who keeps attacking other Superstars.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez (h/t Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats), the mysterious figure could easily turn out to be one of Mustafa Ali or Sami Callihan.
While either of those guys would be a welcome surprise, it's pretty hard to ignore some of the storyline hints that point to Adam Cole (at one point the devil mask was even hanging behind him and MJF in a camera shot).
Tack on names around Cole's orbit like Roderick Strong and someone else with a gear to grind with MJF such as Wardlow, and the storyline continuity makes this one a sell.

AJ Lee Return Buzz
3 of 4During his return promo on Raw, Punk made a point to mention his wife, former WWE wrestler AJ Lee.
For some fans, that might have sparked the idea that Lee could be on the way back to the pro wrestling scene, too.
But according to WrestleVotes (h/t Ortman), that sort of discussion simply hasn't come up.
That makes perfect sense. Punk's quick mention of her didn't seem to imply anything else. She was a beloved character on WWE television for an extremely long time.
And as much as it would be fun to see, say, Lee come back and interact with Rhea Ripley, if she didn't make an appearance while Punk was in AEW, it feels safe to presume she won't return to the ring in WWE, either.

Possible Roman Reigns Opponents Revealed?
4 of 4One of the bigger remaining mysteries in the pro wrestling space is who Roman Reigns might face at Royal Rumble, then WrestleMania.
While some fans might point to Cody Rhodes and others might pine for The Rock to get in on the action, there are plenty of other names worth mentioning.
Case in point, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Danny Wolstanholme of Wrestling INC), Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and LA Knight have been discussed.
But unfortunately for those guys who would get to headline a Rumble or 'Mania if true, we have to sell on each. Kevin Owens had his shot at Reigns at last year's Royal Rumble and has been more of a tag performer since. Knight had his shot at Crown Jewel, and even though Orton just returned, he's already apparently feuding with Judgment Day.
More likely is probably Rhodes, Rock, someone else in the family or perhaps even CM Punk.
