College Football Week 13 Picks: Top Betting Odds for Saturday's Late Games

Joe TanseyNov 25, 2023

The Georgia Bulldogs offense has been cruising along at an incredible rate in November.

The top-ranked team in the country scored 120 points against three Top 25 teams to complete its sweep of SEC play.

Kirby Smart's team should put up another high total on Saturday against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Georgia's in-state rival from the ACC does not have the best defense and it can score a decent amount of points in its own right.

The Bulldogs won their two national championships under Smart thanks to an incredible defense, but as we have seen in recent weeks, the offense is the unit that will win the program its third title in a row.

The rest of Saturday night's slate may lack explosiveness, especially in the clash between the Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators in which two backup quarterbacks will be used.

No. 1 Georgia at Georgia Tech (Over 59.5)

Georgia's offense has been one of the best units to watch in the FBS in the last month.

The return of tight Brock Bowers allowed the Bulldogs to find another offensive level and that was on display in the wins over the Ole Miss Rebels and Tennessee Volunteers.

Georgia's offense could do nothing wrong in the 52-and-38-point displays in SEC play. Those outings should inspire confidence in another high-scoring game on Saturday.

The Bulldogs face a Georgia Tech defense that allowed over 35 points in each of its five losses, one of which came against Ole Miss in September.

Georgia Tech posted three 30-plus totals in its last three wins, a run that started with a shocking win over the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The Yellow Jackets can't match Georgia in star power, but they can at least score a touchdown or two on their in-state foe.

Georgia allowed a double-digit point total in nine of its 11 games. That is a drop off from 2022, when it held five regular-season opponents to single digits.

UGA's defense is still solid, but it is not as dominant as previous seasons, and that will force its offense to win Saturday's game and next week's SEC Championship Game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

No. 5 Florida State at Florida (Under 49)

The ACC-SEC rivalry game one state away from Georgia-Georgia Tech carries a lot less buzz than it did a week ago.

The Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators were both forced to go to their backup quarterbacks last week.

Jordan Travis suffered an ugly leg injury in the first half against North Alabama, while Graham Mertz hurt his shoulder in a tough collision against the Missouri Tigers.

Tate Rodemaker and Max Brown played well in their relief roles last week, but now they have to be trusted for four quarters.

Each defense should make the opposing quarterback beat them, and that may lead to some mistakes from both players in the rivalry clash.

Florida's defense has been its downfall this season, but it could be motivated to not just end FSU's perfect season, but win to get bowl eligible as well.

Do not rule out an inspired performance from the Gators to match what FSU is capable of on defense. The Seminoles held all of their opponents in October and November to 20 points or fewer.

FSU's defense will show up and if Florida can get a few stops per half against a backup quarterback, the over may not come close to hitting.
