Bayley's Downfall
2 of 3Bayley has lost her stranglehold on Damage CTRL, and she doesn't even know it.
Friday night was the first indication of such as Iyo Sky offered up edicts shrouded as suggestions, through Dakota Kai, and The Role Model gleefully went along with them. "That's what I was gonna say," she said, brimming with confidence and glee, unaware that she had lost any and all control she once had.
It is a story that will likely write its next chapter inside War Games when Damage CTRL battles Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch.
While the heel team may appear unbeatable based on its wealth of talent, the weak link is the competitor who has lost more than any other wrestler in the contest of late: Bayley.
From there, look for a massive beatdown that effectively serves as her excommunication from the faction and, potentially, the start of a babyface turn.
Even if it does not all occur in Chicago, that is the direction things are heading and that is not by any means a bad thing for anyone involved. Bayley has, after all, been a heel for three years now and it certainly feels as though there is nothing more for her to accomplish in that role.
A Killer Return for a WWE Legend?
3 of 3The partnership formed between Drew McIntyre and The Judgment Day at the conclusion of last Monday's Raw left Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn at a numbers disadvantage.
Luckily, Rhodes has a friend he can turn to in the form of Randy Orton, who could be back on WWE TV as soon as this week's episode of Raw, per Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling.
The Viper has been out of action since May of 2022 with a back injury but he is ready to return to WWE and resume what is already a Hall of Fame career.
There is no better way to reintegrate him into the WWE Universe than inside War Games, one of the company's signature matches and the culmination of a months-long feud.
Add to it the tension that will likely exist between him and Uso, who was part of The Bloodline when they put Orton out of action, and you have a welcome return for a guy who has been at the forefront of some of the best matches and moments of the last 20 years.
Just in time to begin the march to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia next April.
