Arian Foster Wins Twitter Bet, Avoids Olajuwon TD Celebration Tribute
Late Tuesday night on Twitter, a bet was made between Arian Foster and one of his followers.
Foster, a LA Lakers fan, agreed to a bet with @stanfordKP that if the Rockets beat their Western Conference rival, Foster would perform a “Rockets-themed TD celebration” if Foster scored a TD in Saturday’s playoff game against the Bengals.
The Rockets were defeated by Los Angeles 108-99, and Foster is now safe to celebrate however he chooses.
The celebration agreed upon would have been a tribute to Rockets Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwan.
Olajuwan is praised for his “big-man footwork” for being such an offensively skilled center. His trademark move was known as the “Dream Shake” in reference to his nickname “Hakeem the Dream.”
The Dream Shake can be seen in action in this video.
While a TD tribute with Foster performing the Dream Shake before shooting the pigskin through the uprights would have been exciting, I’m sure Texans fans will be just as excited to see Foster perform any type of celebration should he find pay dirt Saturday.
The depleted roster of the 10-6 AFC South champions are considered the underdog by many going into this weekend.
In the Week 14 matchup in Houston, Foster had 15 carries for 41 yards as well as four receptions for 33 yards in the 20-19 Texans victory.
The game will air at 3:30 PM CT on NBC.
