Jordan Addison's Breakout Game Excites NFL Fans as Kirk Cousins, Vikings Upset 49ers
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison's career day helped the team pull off a stunning upset over the San Francisco 49ers, winning by the final score of 22-17.
With superstar Justin Jefferson out with a hamstring strain, the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft performed exceptionally well as the Vikings' new number one option in the passing game.
Addison finished with seven receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns, all career highs. This included an incredible scoring play in which the 21-year-old ripped the ball away from 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward.

Fans were impressed by Addison's performance.
Kirk Cousins was also able to shrug off an interception on Minnesota's third play of the game, finishing with 35 completions for 378 yards and two touchdown passes. Despite entering the contest with a 7-10 record in prime-time as a member of the Vikings, Cousins looked calm in the pocket and picked apart a tough 49ers defense.
With a record of 3-4, Minnesota now finds itself back in the NFC playoff picture. If the team can string together a few wins while Addison continues his strong play, they could secure a return trip to the postseason.
It would be the Vikings' first back-to-back playoff appearances since 2008-09.
