Kris Humphries: Nets Star Headed for MRI Exam as Humbling Season Continues

It's enough to make you cringe and certainly enough to make you feel a great deal of sympathy.

The New Jersey Nets' Kris Humphries is out indefinitely after what has been an awful start to the NBA season. 

If this were a normal woe is them NBA piece, we would provide evidence of a sheer drop off in basketball production.

Kris Humphries is no ordinary player, and neither are his problems which are voluminous. 

While most of his past issues have been emotional ones, the latest is a physical one that may keep him from playing.

Fox Sports reports Humphries will be out indefinitely with a shoulder injury and is due to have an MRI exam on Tuesday. 

Head coach Avery Johnson reported the gravity of the undisclosed injury: 

"

"We'll take a look at him [Tuesday], and hopefully we'll get some good news. It's not looking good right now, because he can barely move his shoulder. We'll have to hope and pray that it's nothing serious."

And such is the recent life of a punching bag of sorts. Humphries was one of the most visible athletes this summer as he headed toward marriage with Kim Kardashian. Only 72 days later, he was getting a divorce while obviously being very much in love with his wife. 

So what does such a heart-wrenching tale evoke? Humphries was greeted with a tremendous amount of vitriol.

It's clear that Kris Humphries is a joke to just about everyone. There is this tweet that makes you giggle then wonder why such things are being said.

Perhaps reality TV just isn't helping his cause. Humphries was extremely interested in finding out the sexual orientation of a friend in a recent episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York. 

Via Deadspin, the appearance came off in the worst way possible for Humphries.  The near homophobia made this tweet from Fail Whale seem pretty accurate. 

Although, I will go one step further and state 2012 is not shaping up to be any better. It must be nice to get out on the court and forget all your troubles...

Now Humphries can't even do that. 

The easiest way to win over fans is to succeed as an athlete, but he is sidelined.

One thing is certain, it sure isn't easy being Humphries.
