WWE News: Elimination Chamber Poster/Synopsis Reveals Possible Spoilers for PPV

Drake OzJun 1, 2018

All eyes are set on the 2012 Royal Rumble, which takes place in just a few weeks and is the WWE’s first stepping stone on the road to WrestleMania.

After the Royal Rumble, however, the WWE’s February pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber, is often just as important in determining plans for the WrestleMania events.

The poster and synopsis for Elimination Chamber has just been released, and it reveals a couple of potential spoilers for the pay-per-view.

From PWTorch.com:

"

After a delay to start the month, InDemand has released WWE's Elimination Chamber PPV poster, which features Sheamus on the cover of WWE's February PPV in-between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 28. Also released is the PPV description, which only mentions one Chamber match rather than the traditional Raw and Smackdown Chamber matches. The description reads: "Trapped by 11,000 feet of chain and 16 tons of cold steel, six WWE Superstars will have to endure one night of pure punishment to prove they are worthy of championship gold. Who will survive the Chamber? Don’t miss John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, Sheamus, C.M. Punk, and all your favorite Superstars at WWE Elimination Chamber, Sunday, February 19, 8PM ET/5PM PT, live on Pay-Per-View."

"

As PWTorch.com speculates, this synopsis could indicate that we will see just one Elimination Chamber match instead of two and that either the World Heavyweight or WWE Championship will be on the line in that bout. In turn, that could have a huge effect on what we see happen at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view next month.

In all honesty, though, I don’t think there’s any way the WWE can avoid having two Chamber matches. The only way that would be possible is if the lone Chamber match is a No. 1 Contender’s match (rather than a Championship match), in which six men from the opposite brand of the Royal Rumble winner compete for the right to face their respective champion at WrestleMania.

And that doesn’t appear to be that case because the “tentative” plan is for the WWE Championship to be on the line in a Chamber match featuring six Raw competitors.

But, if that’s the case, then why is Triple H advertised for the show? And where does he fit on the card?

Ah, I don’t know. My head hurts from debating over these damn “It Begins” videos for the last month-and-a-half, and I’m probably just over-analyzing this poster.

Let’s just wait and see what happens because we should get a much clearer picture of what’s in store once one of the most exciting matches of the year, the Royal Rumble, is in the books.
