Top Night of Champions Matches to Watch

Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

With Roman Reigns essentially working a part-time schedule on SmackDown as the undisputed WWE universal champion, Triple H recently introduced a new world title on Raw.

Triple H suggested that it will be the workhorse title with the winner defending it far more frequently than Reigns defends his title, which should give it a distinct feel.

Rollins and Styles are two of the best in-ring workers in the world and undoubtedly two of WWE's top workhorses, so their inclusion in the finals of the tournament to determine the world heavyweight champion makes all the sense in the world.

Given how much he has talked about the title and his desire to win it, Rollins enters Night of Champions as the odds-on favorite.

There would be plenty of merit behind Styles winning as well, and the slight possibility that he could adds some intrigue to the match.

Even if Rollins is widely expected to prevail, the match should be excellent, and the importance of the match makes it deserving of the main event spot.

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn beat The Usos for the undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania and later successfully defended them against The Usos, but they aren't done with The Bloodline yet.

In an apparent effort to make an example out of The Usos for their recent losses, Reigns put himself and Solo Sikoa in a tag title match against Owens and Zayn at Night of Champions.

It wasn't long ago that The Bloodline was a solid unit with all members on the same page, but based on what happened at WrestleMania and the weeks since then, cracks have clearly started to form.

Sikoa has emerged as Reigns' righthand man, but there may even be some tension between them based on an awkward moment that occurred on last week's SmackDown when they bumped into each other.

It is incredibly rare for Reigns to lose in any scenario, but WWE does seem to be building toward some sort of miscommunication between him and Solo that results in a loss and creates even more problems for The Bloodline.

If that happens, it will be an explosive moment that wrestling fans surely won't want to miss.

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar

After weeks of vicious attacks at the hands of Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes is out for revenge at Night of Champions.

Lesnar deceived and then destroyed Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania, leading to a match between them at Backlash, which The American Nightmare won by pinning Lesnar while Brock had him in the Kimura Lock.

Losing in that fashion only served to further enrage Lesnar, as he beat Rhodes down on multiple other occasions, including Monday's Raw when he took the fight to Cody twice.

It was suggested on Raw that Rhodes suffered a broken arm, but he insisted on fighting, even after Triple H told him he had nothing to prove.

Rhodes is being presented as a massive underdog in the match, and there is legitimate uncertainty regarding who will come out on top.

It could be anything from a squash in Brock's favor to an against-all-odds victory for Rhodes, which is a big reason why there is so much intrigue surrounding their rematch.
