WWE 2K23: Tips and Strategies for Building an Effective Superstar for MyCareer

The Create-A-Superstar mode remains one of the most popular in the WWE 2K franchise, thanks to its detail and depth. It allows players to flex their creativity and bring to life characters from other promotions and pop culture, all with the intent of entering them into the WWE Universe.

If you are not recreating a horror icon or manifesting that dream match between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and CM Punk, where does one start with creating a Superstar and what goes into making the best competitor possible in WWE 2K23?

These are a few elements to include.

Creativity

It seems rather obvious for a mode with "create" in the title, but this is every player's opportunity to flex their imaginations. Make a wrestler in your vision that reflects your style and looks like the competitor you have been dreaming of since you were a kid.

The bigger, the louder and the more obnoxious the better. Wild hair, face paint, vibrant gear and two different, unmatched boots are welcome. Add accessories, make it over-the-top. You can even upload your own face into the game so that you, the gamer, are sharing the ring with Roman Reigns, Andre the Giant, Cody Rhodes and Hulk Hogan.

If you want to model your Superstar after a pop culture favorite, go ahead. Make it Dwight Schrute from The Office, rocking the pumpkin head. Paint them up like a member of Kiss, make them look like a member of Slytherin or have them rocking the green military hood and thick glasses of The Riddler.

The idea is to be as creative as possible; to create a star that reflects your personality. You can do that to greater extent than ever before thanks to new face textures, 600 new parts and customizable weights.

Then, when finished, upload it to community creations so others can utilize them.

Build Your Superstar to Absorb and Advance

After you get the appearance of your Superstar in order, customize its skills to battle existing Superstars.

Be mindful of what you are looking to accomplish, who you are looking to beat and what moves you would need to do so.

Power-based move sets will allow for greater damage quicker, but they will fall prey to competitors with the ability to counter and reverse, and vice versa. Select a body type that is just right for absorption of a powerful offense while maintaining speed to outlast an opponent, especially with endurance playing a larger role in this year's game,

A well-rounded Superstar of various skills and abilities will fare better than someone who relies on a one-sided move set to inflict damage.

Create Your Entrance

WWE 2K23 brings back the advanced custom-entrances feature that plagued the 2K20 game, rebuilding it from the ground up. It's better than it was before, without the glitches and bugs that were so problematic for players the last time they ventured into the mode.

Deeper customization allows fans to get uber-detailed with their entrances, providing another element to the presentation of a character they have crafted to do battle in the rings of WWE.

It's not limited to body language, music and video, either. Stage parts, animations and lighting are all customizable as developers clearly put an emphasis on the enhancement of the creation suite in this year's game.
