Former Cleveland Browns veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett has proven to be a reliable option when called upon, and he's reportedly drawing interest from around the league as a free agent this offseason.

KPRC 2 Houston's Aaron Wilson reported that the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the teams eyeing Brissett on the open market.

The Eagles are led by star quarterback Jalen Hurts, so it's likely that they're giving Brissett a look in hopes of adding a quality backup. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, have an uncertain situation after the retirement of Tom Brady.

Brissett appeared in 16 games with 11 starts for the Browns last season. He had filled in for Deshaun Watson, who was suspended for the first 11 games of the season for violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy after more than two dozen women accused him of sexual assault and misconduct.

When he was on the field, Brissett performed sufficiently, but Cleveland went 4-7 in games he started. He threw for 2,608 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions, registering career-highs in completion percentage (64.0) and quarterback rating (88.9).

The 30-year-old entered the league in 2016 as a third-round draft pick by the New England Patriots. He also spent four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and one year with the Miami Dolphins prior to joining the Browns.

Brissett has career numbers of 10,350 passing yards, 48 touchdowns and 23 interceptions in his seven years in the league. He should be a top option for teams looking to add a steady backup who can perform well when thrust into action.
