Stars Primed For Their First Major Moment at WWE WrestleMania 39

There is no bigger spectacle in wrestling than WWE's WrestleMania, and the 39th edition of the pay-per-view will feature several unheralded and unproven Superstars looking to make a name for themselves.

With a card stacked with elite talent, names such as Omos, Gunther and the tag team of Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai are all looking to cement their place in history with a breakout display.

Here are the names to watch out for at WrestleMania 39 as potential candidates for surprise MVP.

Omos

Only a few members of the WWE Universe believe Omos is a future world champion, but the company is emphatic with its push of the tall performer toward the top of the card.

There is no better example of this than his potential match with Brock Lesnar.

While there is little doubt Omos has the size and physical presence to be a bona fide Superstar, he is still very green in the ring and unproven on the mic. One way to instantly seal his spot as a verifiable star is to beat The Beast Incarnate, or at least put up a serious fight.

The primary concern for fans is that Omos will be used as fodder for Lesnar. Just as The Beast has made short work of performers like Kevin Owens, Kofi Kingston and others, The Nigerian Giant could be in for a short match.

If WWE Creative and Lesnar agree to give Omos more offense, make him look strong and give him a convincing performance that could lead to a productive storyline after WrestleMania, then he could be the biggest benefactor of the show.

Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky

The best thing that has happened to the WWE women's tag team division since its reincarnation is the duo of Dakota Kai and Io Sky.

And at WrestleMania, they have the chance to make history with two of the biggest female stars ever and the top women's performer today.

The idea of Damage CTRL squaring off with Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus and Lita would make for one of the biggest possible women's matches in WrestleMania history. While a world title would not be on the line, the sheer star power involved would make this main event-worthy.

Despite the lackluster booking of Damage CTRL throughout the stable's tenure on the main roster, WrestleMania would be a monumental place to have the three women use underhanded tactics to defeat the popular face trio.

Allowing Bayley, Sky and Kai to earn a victory would salvage a wasted year of their careers and give them the momentum needed to be cornerstones of the women's division moving into 2023 and beyond.

Gunther

After Triple H took over WWE Creative on the main roster, few Superstars have thrived in their role the way Gunther has during his run with the Intercontinental Championship.

Regardless of who he fights at the pay-per-view, the talented 35-year-old should leave as the IC champion.

The Ring General is one of the best in-ring technicians to step foot in WWE, and his convincing presence and hard-hitting approach to the sport make him a fan favorite despite the heel nature of his character.

Odds suggest Gunther will be involved in a multi-man match at WrestleMania, but he should walk out with the belt no matter who else is involved.

Wrestlers such as Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and LA Knight can produce an unforgettable match, but the result should be the same with the champion retaining.

Eventually, Gunther should be one of the only men to pin Lesnar successfully.
