WWE 2K23: Release Date, Cover Art and Details for John Cena Special Edition

The Icon Edition of WWE 2K23 featuring legendary Superstar John Cena on the cover will provide gamers with three days of early access.

Both the Icon and Deluxe editions can be played beginning on Tuesday, while the Standard and Cross-Gen editions of the game will not be available until three days later.

The Icon Edition will be recognizable thanks to its unique cover featuring an exclusive image of Cena created by WWE artist Rob Schamberger.

Additionally, the Icon Edition will include more features than any of the three other editions available for purchase.

Along with being able to play it three days early, those who buy the Icon Edition of WWE 2K23 will get to use musician Bad Bunny as a playable character, along with securing a Ruby Bad Bunny MyFACTION Card.

The Icon Edition also includes everything that comes with the Deluxe version, such as the Season Pass, which gives the player access to all five forthcoming DLC packs.

Other features are a MyRISE Mega-Boost, a SuperCharger, MyFACTION cards of Cena, Bianca Belair, Asuka and Edge, and three basic premium MyFACTION packs.

What sets the Icon Edition apart is the Paul Heyman Manager MyFACTION Card and three deluxe premium MyFACTION packs, as well as a bevy of Ruthless Aggression content.

Fans of Cena and his entire 20-year WWE career will be thrilled with the ability to play as his Prototype character via the Ruthless Aggression pack, as well as OVW versions of Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton and Batista, who was then known as Leviathan.

The pack also gives gamers the WrestleMania 22 arena, a John Cena legacy championship belt and a Prototype John Cena MyFACTION Card.

As is the case with every edition of WWE 2K23, those who play the Icon version can try out the new 2K Showcase entitled "Never Give Up."

The 2K Showcase focuses on Cena's career and will allow gamers to play out 14 of the biggest losses of his career against some of his toughest opponents. The player will control The Champ's opponent each time in an effort to repeat history.

There will also be clips of Cena explaining the matches and rivalries interspersed throughout the 2K Showcase.

The WWE 2K23 Icon Edition will be available on PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
