WWE's Logan Paul Says Dana White 'Entertained' Him Fighting in UFCFebruary 8, 2023
YouTuber and WWE Superstar Logan Paul confirmed Tuesday that he was nearly given the opportunity to compete in a fight in UFC.
Appearing on Paul's Impaulsive podcast (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of ThirstyForNews.com), UFC announcer Bruce Buffer mentioned that UFC president Dana White "entertained" the idea of letting Paul step inside the Octagon, and Paul said that was indeed the case:
Paul and his younger brother, Jake Paul, are firmly entrenched in the world of combat sports, and they have used their celebrity to further their careers.
Jake is among the biggest names and draws in boxing, and he owns a professional record of 6-0. He is currently preparing for a fight later this month against Tommy Fury, who is the younger brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Logan has also dabbled in boxing with a couple of exhibition bouts, including one against legendary undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Most notably, Paul signed a contract with WWE last year, and he has competed in a handful of matches, including being part of the men's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble premium live event last month.
While a UFC fight has not come to fruition for Logan Paul, he is in business with White and UFC, as he recently revealed that his Prime beverage is the official sports drink of UFC:
Given Paul's popularity, reach and athletic ability, a UFC fight at some point in the future may not be off the table.
As is the case with any combat sport, UFC is always searching for draws, and there is little doubt that a Paul MMA fight would do huge numbers on pay-per-view.
