He told Fox 5 Las Vegas he was there for his mother's birthday and now plans on buying a house with the money he took home.
It is quite the payday for anyone, but Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports noted Rivers basically won the same amount of money as he was paid as a rookie during the 2022 season. He took home approximately $515,670 after the 2022 campaign, which is slightly more than he earned in Las Vegas.
Rivers is set to make $870,000 for the 2023 campaign.
The Fresno State product went undrafted but appeared in eight games for the Rams as a rookie. He tallied nine carries for 21 yards and five catches for 29 yards in those contests.
