49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs' Pass Game Will Expose Eagles' Defense
San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk thinks the Philadelphia Eagles will struggle defensively in the Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
"I don't know fully about that defense," Aiyuk said, per Grant Cohn of Sports Illustrated. "They talk about them being a good defense — I'm not sure. I think this Kansas City pass game will expose what we thought we were going to expose before some unfortunate circumstances. They got extremely lucky."
The Eagles easily defeated the 49ers with a 31-7 win in last week's NFC Championship Game, but quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson suffered injuries in the loss for San Francisco.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With no remaining healthy quarterbacks, the 49ers only attempted one pass in the fourth quarter despite the massive deficit.
Aiyuk might've seen a weakness on film leading up to the game, but he finished with just one catch for 10 yards in the loss. The 24-year-old was the team's leading receiver during the regular season with 78 catches for 1,015 yards and eight touchdowns, which were all career highs.
The Eagles defense had proved itself during the year while allowing the fewest passing yards in the NFL. Between multiple top pass-rushers and a secondary led by Pro Bowler Darius Slay, the unit was a key part of Philadelphia finishing 14-3 during the regular season.
In the playoffs, the New York Giants and 49ers combined for just 192 passing yards.
Of course, it will be a different challenge against Chiefs, which had the No. 1 passing attack in the NFL and led the league in both total yards and points scored.
Mahomes is the favorite to win the league's MVP award after leading the NFL with 5,250 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. Even while dealing with an ankle injury in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the quarterback totaled 326 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
We'll never know if a healthy 49ers offense could have challenged the Eagles defense, but the Chiefs should provide a tough test.
