Anthony Davis Says Lakers' Sense of Urgency at an 'All-Time High' After Pelicans Loss
The Los Angeles Lakers have limited room for error after Saturday's 131-126 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
"The sense of urgency is at an all-time high," Anthony Davis told reporters after the game. "It has to happen now."
The Pelicans entered on a 10-game losing streak, but still pulled out the home win after outscoring the Lakers 70-54 in the second half.
Los Angeles is now just 25-29, entering Sunday in 13th place in the Western Conference. There are two months remaining in the regular season, but the team has an uphill battle to simply earn a spot in the play-in tournament.
Davis was productive individually on Saturday, totaling 34 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks in 38 minutes. The forward still understands that more is needed overall in order to get back into playoff contention.
