Super Bowl 2023: Date, Media Day Schedule for Chiefs vs. Eagles

Kristopher KnoxFeb 5, 2023

While many NFL fans may lament the fact that the 2022-23 season is drawing to a close, there's one game left to play. On Sunday, February 12, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will face off in Super Bowl LVII.

Super Bowl Week is officially here, and the days leading up to the last and biggest game of the season will be filled with media events and fan experiences.

Sunday's Pro Bowl Games will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada—home of the Las Vegas Raiders—before the focus shifts to Phoenix, Arizona, for Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday.

Fans traveling to Phoenix for Super Bowl Week will have plenty to see and do, starting with Monday night's media session. The Eagles and Chiefs will each make 10 players and their head coaches—Nick Sirianni and Andy Reid, respectively—available for questions on Monday night.

According to José M. Romero of the Arizona Republic, that will only be part of the media-day fun:

"The event will also have live entertainment, special appearances and autograph signings by former NFL players and team mascots, photo opportunities for fans and the chance to win prizes such as two tickets to Super Bowl 57 by checking into the event via the Super Bowl OnePass app."

Monday's media day will take place at Footprint Center, home of the NBA's Phoenix Suns.

Fans not in attendance can check out media-day highlights on NFL Network and ESPN2.

Time: 8 p.m. ET (6 p.m. local)

TV: NFL Network, ESPN 2

During Super Bowl Opening Night, fans can expect to hear from Reid, Sirianni and star players like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts and Haason Reddick. There may be a particular focus on Reid, who coached the Eagles for 14 seasons before joining Kansas City in 2013.

"No offense to Philly, but I'm glad they let him go and he's here coaching us in Kansas City," Mahomes said of Reid in 2001, per Vahe Gregorian of the Kansas City Star.

Reid is both happy for his former team's success and eager to face it with the Lombardi Trophy on the line.

There will also be a spotlight on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce.

According to Romero, doors for media day will open at 4 p.m. local time with a pre-show scheduled for 5 p.m. and the interview sessions beginning at 6 p.m. Philadelphia will kick off the media sessions with an hour of interviews, while the Chiefs will take the stage from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Kelce brothers are slated to take the stage at 7:15 p.m.

While Monday will mark the final media appearance for the Eagles and Chiefs, it will only be the start of a fun-filled week in Phoenix. Fans can check out the Super Bowl Experience at the Phoenix Convention Center on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

More information on the Super Bowl Experience can be found at NFL.com.

Fans in the area can also check out the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest at the Footprint Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Musical performers for the series include Paramore, Dave Matthews Band and Kane Brown.

For those at home, the midweek festivities will continue on Thursday with the NFL Honors. The awards event, hosted by Kelly Clarkson, is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, February 9.

The 12th Annual NFL Honors will take place at Symphony Hall in Phoenix and can be viewed on NFL Network, NBC and Peacock.
