NFL Playoff Predictions: Saints Have Rare Super Bowl Swagger Entering Playoffs

The New Orleans Saints are looking polished, determined and dangerous. They are the scariest team out there right now. 

Everyone will be cowering in a corner from the Green Bay Packers, but it's the Saints that I would be worried about. They are rolling right now, and in a rare turn may have actually lucked out by drawing the No. 3 seed. 

That is not to say the Lions are pushovers, or that the Saints wouldn't enjoy a week off. However, when you have a hot hand like they do, you want to make sure that you stay at the table while the dealer is dealing. 

Drew Brees is playing like he is on a mission right now. A Saints team that was embarrassed by the Seattle Seahawks last season are all the hungrier in this campaign. 

This is a season of record-breaking feats and vertical threats. In a game they wanted, they sent a message to any and all comers that dare stand in their way. 

Brees threw for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns. It's a scary thought, but the Saints are playing even better than they were when they beat up on the Detroit Lions in Week 13. 

In that game, Brees took the Saints to 342 yards and three touchdowns. The Lions' pass rush wasn't hitting on all cylinders in that affair. 

The Packers proved last year that anyone can with the Super Bowl if they get hot at the right time. New Orleans is playing well on both sides of the ball but are simply unbeatable when they take over on offense. 

I don't see anyone keeping up with their pace except for the Packers. Even then, I would take the Saints defense over Green Bay's. The stars are aligning for a return to the Super Bowl for the Saints.
