Super Bowl Odds 2023: Over/Under, Box Score and Prop Picks for Chiefs vs. Eagles
The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles don't have much history, even though both have been part of the NFL since 1970. The two teams have met only nine previous times, with the most recent occasion coming in 2021.
However, the Chiefs and the Eagles are now preparing for the most high-stakes matchup of their limited all-time series. On Feb. 12, they will face off in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
It should be an intriguing contest between the two No. 1 seeds. Kansas City (14-3 in the regular season) has defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals in the playoffs to reach this point, while Philadelphia (also 14-3 in the regular season) has notched wins over the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers this postseason.
Here's a look at the latest odds for Super Bowl LVII, a prediction for how the game will unfold and a breakdown of a couple prop bets to consider.

Jalen Hurts Anytime TD (-110)
2 of 3
Not many teams ran the ball as often as the Eagles during the 2022 campaign. During the regular season, they had 544 rushing attempts, which ranked third in the NFL behind only the Atlanta Falcons (559) and Chicago Bears (558).
One big reason for Philadelphia keeping the ball on the ground so much is the playing style of quarterback Jalen Hurts.
In his third NFL season, the 24-year-old took another major step forward and emerged as one of the top quarterbacks in the league. He is capable of using his arm to make big plays, but his game reached another level because of his ability to use his legs.
Hurts scored 10 rushing touchdowns during the 2021 season and then got into the end zone 13 times this year. He's also had a rushing score in each of the Eagles' first two playoff victories.
There's a good chance the former Alabama and Oklahoma player will notch another rushing TD in the Super Bowl, given how Philadelphia's offense operates. He'll continue to be a big part of the running game, and when the Eagles get into the red zone, they'll count on him to punch the ball in. That will be the case especially when they're close enough for a QB sneak.
Of the 17 games Hurts has played in this season (playoffs included), he's scored a rushing touchdown in 11 of them, including five of the past six. So, it should be safe to place an anytime TD bet on him for Super Bowl LVII.
Patrick Mahomes to Win MVP (+130)
3 of 3
When the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV at the end of the 2019 season, Patrick Mahomes was named MVP. He passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns and added a rushing score in that victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
If Kansas City wins Super Bowl LVII, then the quarterback has a good chance of winning MVP once again. He is a major reason why the Chiefs continue to be successful every year, and he's guided them to another impressive season thus far.
The 27-year-old has thrown two touchdown passes in each of their first two playoff victories, and he aired it out for 326 yards vs. Cincinnati in the AFC Championship Game. That's the type of performance the Chiefs can almost always count on from him in the postseason.
It's likely either Mahomes or Hurts will be named Super Bowl MVP, unless there's another player who has a huge performance or comes through with a game-changing play. So, betting on either QB to earn the award is akin to choosing either Kansas City or Philadelphia to win the game.
The prediction here is that the Chiefs will emerge victorious, with the Texas Tech product leading them to victory by making big plays down the stretch. It should be a competitive game, and his leadership will prove to be the difference in the matchup.
If you're looking to place a Super Bowl LVII MVP bet, Mahomes is the best option.
