NFL Coach Calls Out Patrick Mahomes for Flopping on Joseph Ossai Play in Chiefs Win
The biggest moment from the Kansas City Chiefs' 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals was a flag, after the Bengals' Joseph Ossai hit Patrick Mahomes out of bounds following a scramble late in the fourth quarter.
Ossai was handed a 15-yard penalty for a late hit, turning what would have been a very long field-goal attempt into a much more manageable 45-yard try for Harrison Butker, who converted and sent the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.

Rodgers Reportedly Gets 'Rare' Tender
But after the game, not everybody was thrilled with that decisive moment.
"That is what the owners want, $40 million skill players flopping on the ground, drawing fouls from [part-time officials who double as] chemistry teachers, medical device salesmen and the like," an NFC defensive coach told Mike Sando of The Athletic.
OK, but tell us how you really feel.
The reality is that the officials got the call right. Mahomes was clearly out of bounds when Ossai pushed him. It was a tough time to have to make the call, given the stakes of the moment, but by the letter of the law was the correct decision.
