Coach Questions Beck's Personality 🤔
Even with a high ankle sprain, Mahomes put together a gutsy performance to help Kansas City get back to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2020 season when they fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Big Game.
Mahomes completed 29 of 43 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
The star quarterback also made arguably the biggest play of the game with 17 seconds left in the fourth quarter, scrambling for five yards on 3rd-and-4 from the Cincinnati 47 and drawing an unnecessary roughness penalty to get his team in field-goal range.
Sunday's win marked Mahomes' first victory over the Burrow-led Bengals in his career, and NFL Twitter couldn't help but hype up the veteran signal-caller and the Chiefs for the big win:
Mahomes put together a legendary performance on Sunday night, and now he'll get two weeks to rest his ankle before facing the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona.
If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, it will mark their second Super Bowl title since the 2019 season, when they downed the San Francisco 49ers to claim the Lombardi Trophy.
