LeBron James Addresses Controversial Officiating, and NBA Fans Defend Lakers Star

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James appeared deflated when discussing the officiating after Saturday's 125-121 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics:

"It's been building," James said of his frustration. "You have seen some of the games we've lost this year with late-game missed calls."

LeBron had a chance to win the game in regulation, but officials missed an apparent foul on Celtics forward Jayson Tatum.

Crew chief Eric Lewis admitted after the game that the officials missed the call, per Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

While James was highly animated on the court, fans were supportive of the superstar afterward:

The loss dropped Los Angeles to 23-27 on the year, including six losses in the last 10 games. However, all but one of those losses were by five points or fewer, and some close calls might have changed the outcome.

James and the Lakers will look to refocus and bounce back on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets as they continue their five-game road trip.
