January 26, 2023
The dates for several players' pro days in advance of the 2023 NFL draft are starting to roll in, and ESPN's Field Yates dropped two important ones Thursday.
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Kentucky signal-caller Will Levis are considered two of the top prospects in this year's draft. The latest consensus big board from NFL Mock Draft Database lists Young and Levis as the No. 2 and No. 6 prospects overall, respectively. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud notably sits between them at No. 4.
The 6'0", 194-pound Young has starred at quarterback each of the past two seasons. For his career, he completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 80 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and 8,356 yards (8.8 yards per attempt).
Alabama went 23-4 in his starts, earning a national championship appearance in 2021 and a No. 5 finish in the Associated Press poll in 2022.
The 6'3", 232-pound Levis transferred to Kentucky from Penn State in 2021 and started for the Wildcats each of the past two years, during which he completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 43 touchdowns (23 interceptions) and 5,232 yards (8.2 YPA).
Kentucky went 10-3 in 2021 and capped the year with a Citrus Bowl victory. The Wildcats went 7-6 in 2022.
This year's NFL draft is scheduled to take place from April 27-29 in Kansas City.
