Roxanne Perez Retains NXT Women's Title vs. Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne at Vengeance Day

Roxanne Perez defeated Toxic Attraction's Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne in a Triple Threat match at NXT Vengeance Day on Saturday to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

After outlasting four other Superstars to win the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline in December, Perez shockingly defeated Mandy Rose for the NXT Women's Championship just a few days later, ending her 413-day reign.

Rose was released from her WWE contract following the loss, leaving Dolin and Jayne as the only members of Toxic Attraction still in NXT.

With Perez running Rose out of the company from a storyline sense, Dolin and Jayne vowed to make life miserable for Perez and get revenge against her for causing the crumbling of Toxic Attraction.

Dolin and Jayne got their opportunity to make their threats a reality when they were included in a 20-woman Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 contender for Perez's NXT women's title.

Despite claiming they would be co-winners of the Battle Royal, Dolin and Jayne attacked each other when they were the final two and pushed each other from the top rope.

They happened to hit the floor at the same time, meaning they were indeed declared co-winners, setting the stage for a Triple Threat at Vengeance Day.

A couple of weeks before Vengeance Day, Dolin and Jayne claimed that Toxic Attraction was over and that it would be every woman for themselves in the Triple Threat; however, it turned out to be a ruse.

After arguing with each other during the contract signing, Dolin and Jayne turned their attention toward Perez and left her laid out in the ring while they held up the NXT Women's Championship together.

Toxic Attraction's united front seemingly put Perez at a huge disadvantage, but there was reason for skepticism regarding whether Dolin and Jayne would remain on the same page with such a big prize on the line.

Ultimately, Perez managed to outfox Dolin and Jayne in her first title defense, leaving the future of Toxic Attraction up in the air.
