Week 18 DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks, Lineup Tips for Sunday
Most standard fantasy football leagues ended with Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season. So congratulations to the managers who won championships and better luck next year to everybody else who came up short.
Even if your league is over, there's still a way to have fantasy players to root for on Sunday, the final day of the regular season. Now could be a good time to submit a lineup on either DraftKings or FanDuel to get into the DFS action. It's a way to keep the thrill of fantasy football going for another week.
With 14 games on Sunday's slate, there are plenty of players to consider starting in daily fantasy lineups. Here's some DFS advice to consider when going through your options.
Smith Is a Solid High-Value QB Option

The Seattle Seahawks need help in order to get into the NFL playoffs. Not only do they have to beat the Los Angeles Rams, but they need the Detroit Lions to then defeat the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
With the Seahawks playing in the late-afternoon slot, they'll try to take care of their business before rooting on the Lions. And with Seattle motivated to win in a favorable home matchup against Los Angeles, Geno Smith ($6,000 on DraftKings; $7,300 on FanDuel) is a strong quarterback to consider starting in DFS lineups.
Smith has been a primary reason for the Seahawks' success, as the 32-year-old has done a great job of leading the team's offense. One of his best performances came in Week 13, when he threw for a season-high 367 yards and three touchdowns in a road win over the Rams.
There's a good chance that Smith will have more success against Los Angeles in Week 18, especially with the injury-riddled Rams having nothing to play for. So Smith should be a safe DFS play, and he'll provide tremendous value at an affordable price.
Shaheed's Late Surge Makes Him Strong WR to Consider

Some people may not have noticed, because the New Orleans Saints haven't been much of a factor in the NFC postseason picture, but rookie wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is having a strong finish to his debut NFL season. That should culminate with another solid fantasy showing on Sunday.
Shaheed ($4,200 on DraftKings; $5,800 on FanDuel) has recorded 75 or more receiving yards in three of his past four games. He had 95 yards and a touchdown (the second of his career) in a Week 15 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Then, the 24-year-old had 10 catches and was targeted 11 total times over the past two weeks.
In Week 18, the Saints are wrapping up their season with a home matchup against the Carolina Panthers, who are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers (per NFL.com). They're likely going to struggle to try to stop Shaheed, who has big-play potential and is developing a solid connection with quarterback Andy Dalton.
With his low DFS price, Shaheed is a great wide receiver to put into lineups on Sunday. He should at least get a handful of catches, and it wouldn't be surprising if he broke away for a long touchdown grab at some point in the NFC South contest.
Woods Is the Best Budget TE to Turn To

The Indianapolis Colts offense has been hit hard by injuries, and the unit has also underperformed during the 2022 season. That's why there are some lesser-known players who are getting significant time on the field for Indianapolis down the stretch.
Among them is rookie tight end Jelani Woods, who has been much more involved of late. The 24-year-old has been targeted at least four times in four of his past five games, including each of the previous two weeks. He's recorded 224 receiving yards over that span.
On Sunday, the Colts are closing out their season at home against the NFL-worst Houston Texans, who are allowing 378.4 total yards per game, the third-most in the league. It should be a good opportunity for Indianapolis to end a challenging season on a high note.
Woods ($2,900 on DraftKings; $4,600 on FanDuel) doesn't cost much at all to include in DFS lineups for Week 18. So it's worth taking a chance on him, as the Virginia product has a strong chance of getting into the end zone for the first time since Week 6.
