Fantasy Football Week 18 Rankings: Final Season Position-by-Position Review
Week 18 of the 2022 NFL season will, once and for all, crystallize the real-life playoff picture.
It will also decide all of the remaining championship races in the fantasy football world.
If you're still in the running for the trophy—and, more importantly, the bragging rights—you cannot afford a misstep. We're here to help you avoid them with top rankings and a sleeper at each of the four offensive positions.
Quarterback
1 of 4
Top 10
1. Jalen Hurts, PHI (vs. NYG)
2. Patrick Mahomes, KC (at LV)
3. Joe Burrow, CIN (vs. BAL)
4. Josh Allen, BUF (vs. NE)
5. Trevor Lawrence, JAX (vs. TEN)
6. Aaron Rodgers, GB (vs. DET)
7. Kirk Cousins, MIN (at CHI)
8. Jared Goff, DET (at GB)
9. Geno Smith, SEA (vs. LAR)
10. Dak Prescott, DAL (at WAS)
Sleeper: Jarrett Stidham, LV (vs. KC)
If you've played fantasy football long enough, then you know you always must be ready to pivot toward something new. So, yes, if you're desperate for a spot starter, you could certainly find yourself putting your championship hopes in the hands of Stidham.
The first start of his season—and entire career—came last week, but he dazzled against one of the NFL's best defenses. While the San Francisco 49ers prevailed in overtime, he made them work for that victory by throwing for 365 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a helpful 34 rushing yards on seven attempts.
The 49ers have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, per Yahoo. The Chiefs, meanwhile, have surrendered the third-most. This looks surprisingly good on paper.
Running Back

Top 20
1. Christian McCaffrey, SF (vs. ARI)
2. Derrick Henry, TEN (at JAX)
3. Austin Ekeler, LAC (at DEN)
4. Josh Jacobs, LV (vs. KC)
5. Joe Mixon, LAR (at SEA)
6. Aaron Jones, GB (vs. DET)
7. Najee Harris, PIT (vs. CLE)
8. Travis Etienne Jr., JAX (vs. TEN)
9. Cam Akers, LAR (at SEA)
10. Nick Chubb, CLE (at PIT)
11. Miles Sanders, PHI (vs. NYG)
12. Alvin Kamara, NO (vs. CAR)
13. Tony Pollard, DAL (at WAS)
14. Ken Walker III, SEA (vs. LAR)
15. Dalvin Cook, MIN (at CHI)
16. Tyler Allgeier, ATL (vs. TB)
17. Rhamondre Stevenson, NE (at BUF)
18. James Conner, ARI (at SF)
19. Jerick McKinnon, KC (at LV)
20. D'Andre Swift, DET (at GB)
Sleeper: Zack Moss, IND (vs. HOU)
Moss offers a relative reliability that you're unlikely to often find on the waiver wire.
He looks like the preferred option in this Jonathan Taylor-less backfield, and that has afforded Moss a volume level seldom seen in streamers. Over his past three games, he has handled 51 carries.
Now, he hasn't exactly set the fantasy football world ablaze with these opportunities, totaling 220 rushing yards and zero scores. However, this could be the week in which all of those touches translate into big numbers, since Houston has been the most generous defense against running backs.
Wide Receiver
3 of 4
Top 20
1. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (vs. BAL)
2. Davante Adams, LV (vs. KC)
3. Tyreek Hill, MIA (vs. NYJ)
4. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (at GB)
5. Stefon Diggs, BUF (vs. NE)
6. A.J. Brown, PHI (vs. NYG)
7. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (at WAS)
8. Keenan Allen, LAC (at DEN)
9. DK Metcalf, SEA (vs. LAR)
10. Justin Jefferson, MIN (at CHI)
11. DeVonta Smith, PHI (vs. NYG)
12. Amari Cooper, CLE (at PIT)
13. Tee Higgins, CIN (vs. BAL)
14. Christian Watson, GB (vs. DET)
15. Christian Kirk, JAX (vs. TEN)
16 Garrett Wilson, NYJ (at MIA)
17. Jaylen Waddle, MIA (vs. NYJ)
18. Michael Pittman Jr., IND (vs. HOU)
19. Allen Lazard, GB (vs. DET)
20. Mike Williams, LAC (at DEN)
Sleeper: Jahan Dotson, WAS (vs. DAL)
While Doston had a quiet Week 17, it was far from disastrous. Sure, you'd like more than three receptions and 37 yards, but he still saw seven passes thrown his way.
Based on what he'd done leading up to that game, it's reasonable expect to him to produce when afforded that kind of volume. Even with that quiet outing factored in, his last four games have still produced 18 receptions for 272 yards and three touchdowns.
The good times should keep rolling against a Dallas defense allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to the position.
Tight End
4 of 4
Top 10
1. Travis Kelce, KC (at LV)
2. George Kittle, SF (vs. ARI)
3. Mark Andrews, BAL (at CIN)
4. Evan Engram, JAX (vs. TEN)
5. Darren Waller, LV (vs. KC)
6. Dalton Schultz, DAL (at WAS)
7. Dallas Goedert, PHI (vs. NYG)
8. David Njoku, CLE (at PIT)
9. Tyler Higbee, LAR (at SEA)
10. T.J. Hockenson, MIN (at CHI)
Sleeper: Tyler Conklin, NYJ (at MIA)
While all waiver-wire additions are dart throws, the tight end position essentially adds a blindfold to the equation.
Still, you could do worse than Conklin.
Last week, he took advantage of a favorable matchup against a Seattle Seahawks defense that allows the most fantasy points to tight ends and ripped them for six receptions (on six targets) for 80 yards. Now, he'll lock horns with Dolphins defense allowing the third-most fantasy points to the position.
