NBA Trade Rumors: Cousins Trade Demand Proves He Has a Long Way to Go
DeMarcus Cousins continues to amaze me.
He is quite possibly one of the top up-and-coming big men in the NBA, and yet, his attitude and immaturity continue to counter his basketball talent.
According to a statement from Kings Head Coach Paul Westphal, Cousins is demanding a trade only four games into the season.
DeMarcus, grow up. You're no longer in college and if you expect to be an elite NBA center one day, then cut the BS and just do it.
Cousins will remain in Sacramento and will not travel with his team to New Orleans to play the Hornets tonight.
DeMarcus, what makes you think that a title-contending team will want to make a trade for a player with your attitude and who abandons his team when they need him the most?
Throughout his entire basketball career, Cousins has been a loose cannon with an extremely large attitude—and mark my words—it will come back to haunt him soon.
He has constantly come under fire with Westphal, an 11-year coaching veteran.
DeMarcus, respect your coach, he is in charge, not you.
The Kings are currently on a three-game losing streak right off the heels of an upset victory over bitter rival, Los Angeles Lakers, and the team continues to show a lack of chemistry and leadership.
DeMarcus, this was your chance to prove everyone wrong.
DeMarcus, this was your chance to show that you can be a leader.
DeMarcus, you have a long way to go. You think that you can be the best—and you can—but not like this.
Please DeMarcus, heed my warning, don't throw away a promising career by acting like a child. Sacramento took a chance on you and this is how you expect to repay them, by abandoning them in their darkest hour?
If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.
