NFL Playoff Picture: New England Patriots Earn No. 1 Seed and Broncos Win West
The NFL playoffs are now set. In the NFC, the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers will receive first-round byes as the No. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively.
The New Orleans Saints will be the third seed, and the New York Giants claimed the NFC East Sunday night, and are the fourth seed.
The wild-card teams will be the fifth seeded Atlanta Falcons and the sixth seeded Detroit Lions.

In the AFC, the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders started the day with a chance to get in to the playoffs. They were all eliminated from the playoff picture today.
The New England Patriots won, and therefore solidified their position as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Baltimore Ravens were able to cling to a small lead in the fourth quarter to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, wrap up the AFC North and claim the No. 2 seed.
The Houston Texans finish as the third seed and the Denver Broncos take the AFC West and the fourth seed.
The AFC wild-card spots were claimed by the fifth seed Pittsburgh Steelers and the sixth seed Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals lost the game, but because the Broncos and Raiders lost, they were still able to claim the final spot over the Titans.
