WWE: The Countdown Begins, What Do You Want out of the WWE Network?

David RutterJun 7, 2018

The WWE Network is set to launch in exactly four months and already there is speculation it could fail quicker than the XFL—that’s pretty bad.

I’m not sure how all of you feel about the network, but I’m really looking forward to it, I really like some of the concepts being tossed around for programming and now with there being talk of Vinnie Mac offering all the “B” level PPVs for free on the network, that just makes it even more of an incentive to buy it.

I haven’t watched a minor PPV in three years mainly because I’m not shelling out $45 for what could be a lackluster event compared to what we get with the main four.

I also believe this will be a great way to help build up new talent by showcasing them on possible talk shows and using commercials to air promos. Not to mention we can see all of our favorite legends in different environments and possibly get a look into their personal lives and what they do when they’re outside of the ring.

My favorite part of the network, however, will be to watch all the old episodes of RAW from 1997-2005, this will be when DVR comes in handy!

If this network is a success, I think it really could be a game-changer, not only is the network going to be geared toward its current audience, but older fans who prefer the edgier storylines and flamboyant characters from the '80s and '90s can relive all of it over and over again.

I’m not a big TV person anyone, I mainly watch Netflix, but if this network doesn't come with an insane monthly price tag, then I definitely would get it just to watch old episodes of RAW and everything else is just a bonus.

The WWE Network could end up being a must-have for any fan, but like I said also, it could also become a much valued tool in the upcoming years when it comes towards training wrestlers on how to cut promos and work with an audience without having to immediately put them on RAW or SmackDown.

With the WrestleMania Rewind and Legends House (which I pray they get Roddy Piper for) already scheduled to air and NXT and Superstars likely showing up, what other types of new programming are you hoping arrives on the network?

Are there any old shows, PPVs or revisited concepts you’re hoping gets aired?

How much are you willing to pay per month for the network?
