Value of the FA Cup
The FA Cup, our Domestic Cup in all its Glory.
The Cup where lower league clubs do battle with the Elite, where becoming a Giant-killer is just as pleasing as winning the Cup.
This Cup is a struggle of pride, passion and honour. Until you see something like a little child in the crowd with a tear running down his face supporting a League 2 Club, you cannot really understand the importance of a Cup like the FA Cup.

A few Premier League Clubs abandoned the FA Cup as they struggle for the Premier League title, Uefa Cup and the Uefa Champions League.
Now the Uefa Cup has received the same attitude from the same Clubs. Most Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool fans all turn their noses up at the Uefa Cup, branding it a dead competition.
My opinion on that would be, you only think such because you're not in it. Take the Champions League away, and you all would be eating your opinions for breakfast, lunch and tea.
Only the top four Premier League Clubs have neglected the Uefa Cup and more importantly, the FA Cup and left their chances of winning the FA Cup down to weakened squad sheets in the hopes they reach the final.
That is a disgrace and this is why.
Now that Manchester City FC have the financial muscle to compete with the Big 4 of the Premier League, there is one little masterpiece picture that's hidden away for now.
Sir Alex Ferguson and all his rantings about the Premier League fixtures being fixed to hinder his Club has opened up a new window.
I believe Manchester City FC will renew the FA Cup with a fresh perspective, one thing is for sure, Sir Alex Ferguson will not want Manchester City FC to win anything until after he retires, all of a sudden Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in the FA Cup again.
How many football fans would like to see a Manchester City FC vs. Man United FC, FA Cup Final right now?
I see the FA Cup picking up and winning back its reputation sometime soon. I still look forward to the FA Cup as much as I do the World Cup.
Some people neglect the struggling side of life and perspective when they are offered riches and glory and choose to look down on what and where they once were.
One thing is for sure, my head is firmly screwed on, I won't be as easily pleased or blinded by glory and forget the value of what's left behind.
Here's to the FA Cup.
