Week 3 DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks, Lineup Tips for Sunday
The best time of the week has arrived for football fans: It's another NFL Sunday.
There are 14 Sunday games for Week 3, so there will be plenty to watch, with nine games in the early afternoon, four in the late afternoon and a Sunday night matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos. It also means there are a lot of options for players to fill their daily fantasy lineups on DraftKings and/or FanDuel.
Many of the league's top teams will be in action Sunday, so plenty of star playmakers will be on the field. Who are the best choices to help DFS players win big?
Here are some daily fantasy tips for Sunday's Week 3 action.
Target Playmakers from Lions-Vikings Matchup
1 of 3
The Minnesota Vikings have a ton of offensive talent, and everybody knew that was the case heading into the 2022 season. But the Detroit Lions have been a bit of a surprise so far, as they've scored 71 total points during their 1-1 start, with several players emerging as stars.
Running back D'Andre Swift ($7,200 on DraftKings; $8,000 on FanDuel) and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7,200 on DraftKings; $7,800 on FanDuel) are both great Detroit players to put in a DFS lineup. Swift had 87 total yards and a touchdown on only seven touches while nursing an ankle injury in Week 2, while St. Brown has notched eight receptions in eight straight games dating back to last season.
On Minnesota's side, wide receiver Justin Jefferson ($9,300 on DraftKings; $9,500 on FanDuel) is always a great play and worth his hefty price tag. Running back Dalvin Cook ($7,900 on DraftKings; $8,300 on FanDuel) is off to a bit of a slow start this season (144 total yards and no touchdowns through two weeks), but he could break through in Week 3.
There should be a ton of offense on both sides of this NFC North matchup, making all of these players worthwhile DFS options. Jefferson and St. Brown are the safest choices, but Cook and Swift (assuming his ankle has improved) are both high-upside plays.
Consider a Stack Featuring Burrow
2 of 3
After leading the Cincinnati Bengals to an AFC title and a Super Bowl appearance last season, Joe Burrow is off to a tough start in 2022. Through two weeks, Burrow has passed for 537 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions and gotten sacked 13 times, with the Bengals going 0-2.
But Burrow is a talented quarterback, and he should get back on track. There's a good chance that happens Sunday, when Cincinnati is on the road facing the New York Jets. Although the Jets are a more formidable opponent than they've been in the past, the Bengals offense should still have plenty of success in the matchup.
Burrow's DFS price has dropped amid his struggles ($6,600 on DraftKings; $7,500 on FanDuel), so this is a great week to start him. And it may be wise to stack him with one of his receivers who will be likely to have a big game.
Ja'Marr Chase ($8,100 on DraftKings; $8,500 on FanDuel) costs a lot, so it may be smarter to go with Tee Higgins ($6,100 on DraftKings; $7,300 on FanDuel). Higgins had a solid showing in Week 2, when he had six catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. So expect him to build off that performance in Week 3.
Engram Is a Bargain at Tight End
3 of 3
When seeking bargains at tight ends, it's important to look at their recent volume. And over Evan Engram's first two games with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he's been heavily involved in their offense.
After recording four catches for 28 yards in Week 1, Engram had seven receptions for 46 yards and was targeted eight times in Week 2. He hasn't yet gotten into the end zone, but his first Jags touchdown could be coming soon, perhaps even Sunday in their matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
There's a good chance that Jacksonville will be trailing in this game. So that means quarterback Trevor Lawrence could be passing the ball a good bit. That could lead to a productive day for Engram ($3,700 on DraftKings; $5,200 on FanDuel).
So if you want to stack your DFS lineup with star RBs and WRS and go a bit cheaper at tight end, then Engram is a player you're going to want to consider.
