Who is the Weakest Link In Every WWE Stable?

Anthony MangoSep 17, 2022

A team is only as good as its weakest player. In some ways, the same can be said about the factions in WWE.

Most groups have a definitive leader like Roman Reigns as the biggest focal point bringing home most of the victories, while others can't carry their weight in the ring and tend to take the pinfalls, leaving many to wonder why they're even in the group.

Let's look at all the stables on today's roster and pinpoint who contributes the least to their group's success.

The Bloodline: Sami Zayn

1 of 8

Technically, Paul Heyman is the weakest member of The Bloodline if everyone were to get into a scuffle, as he's shown no ability to defend himself. But he gets a pass here.

Out of the true WWE Superstars, Sami Zayn is easily the weak link of the strongest faction, and he's not even a full part of the group in many eyes.

The Great Liberator is the fall guy who messes things up, such as when he failed to hit Kevin Owens to help Jey Uso recently on Raw, but he's still a valuable enough tool to keep around as a punching bag and a gopher.

Eventually, Zayn will see how much he's being used and turn against The Bloodline. Until then, he'll swim on the edges of The Island of Relevancy without his feet on the ground.

The Brawling Brutes: Butch

2 of 8

Sheamus is the leader of The Brawling Brutes and unquestionably the most accomplished of the trio.

Ridge Holland hasn't done much, but he's the most physically imposing member, but Butch is an active nuisance who causes constant headaches.

Instead of being just Pete Dunne—a former NXT UK champion—this character was written as a petulant child, constantly itching for a fight and running off any moment he didn't have a babysitter.

Those traits have toned down since Triple H took charge of WWE Creative and hopefully won't be returning any time soon, but he remains the standout hassle in the group with no big wins to his name on the main roster to counteract any criticisms.

Damage CTRL: No Weak Link

3 of 8

Whatever way you try to judge, there is no weak link at this moment for Damage CTRL.

Bayley brings the most experience on the main roster to the table. She's the leader of the group who imparts her wisdom and has helped steer Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky to their recent successes. In both the singles and tag team divisions, Bayley's not only reached the top, but defined it for months on end.

Sky is also a former champion with an impressive stint in NXT. This is her second tag team title reign, proving she knows how to be a valuable teammate, if not the most valuable player.

Kai is no slouch, either. Though one could argue she's had less time as champion than the other two and would likely be the weak link in that regard, she's the one who just scored the pinfall on Aliyah to capture the Women's Tag Team Championships. That's as much of a means to negate that as possible.

This is a functioning unit that has had some hiccups, but quickly bounced back even better.

Hit Row: B-Fab

4 of 8

Hit Row's Top Dolla is the muscle of the group. If he gets tagged in, people are going to get thrown around the ring.

Ashante "Thee" Adonis is the versatility player who brings speed and agility to the table. He could get the job done on his own even without Top Dolla backing him up.

What does B-Fab offer to the team?

She's a personality, but she doesn't talk any more than the others. Arguably, she's on the microphone the least while Top Dolla speaks the most.

B-Fab doesn't ever wrestle. She's had a grand total of two televised matches on NXT in September 2021 that weren't especially good.

Soon enough, she has to find her role in this group or WWE will decide the team doesn't need her.

Imperium: Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser

5 of 8

Gunther is on an entirely different level than Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, but those two in Imperium are on equal terms.

Kaiser has recently suffered some humiliation when chopped down by the intercontinental champion for insubordination and failure when he loses, though that story might be over.

Vinci was excommunicated from the group in his own humiliating way many months ago, but he has found his way back to the team.

Both are fantastic wrestlers. Vinci has the edge in power, but Kaiser is the lead mouthpiece.

There is no distinct weak link to this well-oiled machine, which should continue to impress on SmackDown as they did in NXT and NXT UK.

The Judgment Day: Dominik Mysterio

6 of 8

The Judgment Day have struggled considerably since ditching Edge, but no matter what losses Damian Priest, Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley fall victim to, Dominik Mysterio is the undeniable bottom of the pecking order.

Mysterio's greatest achievement so far has been a lackluster tag team title reign alongside his father who did most of the work. He's still living in Rey's shadow with his story revolving around a family drama.

Priest, Bálor and Ripley have all beaten notable stars and won championships on their own and have much more experience. Mysterio is still a rookie trying to find himself, currently going through his wrestling equivalent of an angsty teen phase where he's joined the bullies who picked on him.

Maximum Male Models: Maxxine Dupri

7 of 8

Nobody in Maximum Male Models has had a great showing yet, but Maxxine Dupri has the weakest credentials on paper.

Mace and Mansoor are perfectly fine wrestlers. Though Los Lotharios aren't true teammates, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo are allies who have pulled off some big victories here and there.

Max Dupri has yet to wrestle on the main roster, but as LA Knight in NXT, he held the Million Dollar Championship. At any point, he can step in and stand toe-to-toe with anyone else.

Maxxine Dupri has only been a mouthpiece both on SmackDown and on NXT as Sofia Cromwell. She hasn't wrestled a single match yet.

Her promo skills don't match Max's and she hasn't shown herself as a standout schemer or anything that makes her indispensable.

Weakest Links of NXT Factions

8 of 8

At the moment, there are more factions in NXT than on Raw and SmackDown. Here is a quick rundown of the weak links of those groups.

  • Josh Briggs is a powerhouse and Fallon Henley grounds the team, but Brooks Jensen takes the pinfalls and gets made fun of.
  • Since Damon Kemp is out of the group and Tatum Paxley isn't a full member, Roderick Strong's lack of leadership is Diamond Mine's biggest issue.
  • Legado del Fantasma's Elektra Lopez rarely wrestles and doesn't do anything as a manager that Santos Escobar isn't better at.
  • Gallus and Schism are relatively equal, though Joe Coffey and Joe Gacy are clearly the standouts of those groups, leaving the other two (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) fighting for the lowest spot, if there is one.
  • Similarly, Mandy Rose is above Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, though there really isn't a weak link in Toxic Attraction.
  • Pretty Deadly are multi-time tag team champions, but Lash Legend hasn't accomplished anything yet.
