Former NFL running back Zac Stacy is facing five criminal charges related to an alleged attack on his ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans, in August.

TMZ Sports reported Wednesday prosecutors in Orange County, Florida charged Stacy with three counts of misdemeanor domestic violence battery as well as two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief following an alleged physical altercation with Evans over rent money.

The charges are separate from the two felony charges, aggravated battery and criminal mischief, he faces from a violent attack on Evans in November that was caught on video, per TMZ.

Evans detailed the alleged August attack in a restraining order application.

"He physically assaulted me several times because he wanted the money back he gave me for our rent," she wrote. "He punched my legs, slapped me, picked me up by my arms, and threw me into my window, which broke. I had glass in my feet that I removed myself."

Stacy is scheduled for a March hearing on the new charges and is due back in court in May for the charges from the November assault, to which he's pleaded not guilty, per TMZ.

Arrest video obtained by TMZ in December showed the 30-year-old Alabama native telling police the November attack was "staged," which Evans vehemently denied.

"This is what abusers do," Evans said at the time. "They will make you seem like you're the crazy one and that they're the victim."

Stacy was a member of the St. Louis Rams and New York Jets during a three-year NFL career from 2013 through 2015. He later made stops with the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders and AAF's Memphis Express.

He last played professional football in 2019.
