Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made history once again in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

With a second-quarter pass to Mike Evans, Brady broke Drew Brees' record for most completions in NFL history. It was the 7,143rd completed pass of Brady's storied career.

Brady needed 18 completions to surpass Brees, and he got it done within two quarters. He completed 19 of 26 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown in the first half against Buffalo and also added a rushing score to give Tampa Bay a 24-3 lead heading into halftime.

It wasn't the first time that Brady overtook Brees for a record this season. He broke Brees' passing-yard mark in a Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots, for whom Brady played 20 of his 22 NFL seasons.

It also wasn't the last time Brady would make history. He threw his 700th career touchdown pass for the walk-off win.

Brady also holds the all-time records for most passing touchdowns, passing attempts and career wins by a starting quarterback.

At 44 years old, Brady has shown no signs of slowing down. He entered Sunday leading the league with 3,771 passing yards and 34 passing touchdowns this season.

The defending-champion Buccaneers carried a 9-3 record into their game against the Bills and will be in contention for a second straight Super Bowl appearance. Tampa Bay leads the NFL in scoring offense with 31.4 points per game and ranks second in total offense with an average of 403.7 yards.

The Buccaneers are likely on their way to another NFC South title, but it won't happen in Week 14. Tampa Bay needed the New Orleans Saints to lose, but they defeated the New York Jets on Sunday.
