Bulls' Nikola Vucevic Reportedly Enters NBA Health and Safety Protocols
Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic is expected to miss multiple games after being placed into the NBA's health and safety protocols.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.
If Vucevic tested positive for COVID-19, NBA protocols call for him to miss at least 10 days of action or have two negative PCR tests 24 hours apart. The 31-year-old could miss at least five games, including the team's upcoming West Coast trip if he is out 10 days.
Vucevic is averaging 13.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists for the upstart Bulls, who are currently tied with the Washington Wizards for the best record in the East at 8-3.
Tony Bradley is the backup center but has seen minimal playing time this season. Second-year big man Patrick Williams has already been ruled out for 4-6 months with a wrist injury.
Bradley and Alize Johnson stand to see an increase in playing time with Vucevic out.
