Adam WellsJan 9, 2021
Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will miss Saturday's game against the Miami Heat because of COVID-19 concerns.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Beal is being held out to undergo contact tracing.
Per NBA rules for this season, players who undergo contact tracing are not allowed to return to the team's facilities until they have been cleared by a team-designated physician.
Beal has appeared in each of Washington's first nine games this season. The 27-year-old played 38 minutes in Friday's 116-107 loss to the Boston Celtics. He leads the NBA in scoring with 35 points per game.
