Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, I am a die hard Boise State fan and current student

Nothing will ever replace the memories I have of sitting in our small garage-turned-family room watching whatever sport was in season. Learning about protecting the blind-side (Steve Young is blind in one eye?!?), and checking the runner, Pat Summerall and Jon Miller were my teachers, and I, their best student.

With nothing professional in the Boise area, and my dad holding season tickets to what was then Cougar Stadium in Provo, we would make the 6 hour drive on select Saturdays in the Fall to see what LaVell Edwards had going for him that week.

In a weird round about way I ended up in Boise, Idaho in the spring of 1998 and enrolled into school at Boise State University during the spring semester of 1999. In the fall of 1999 I started to attend Boise State Games. Back then you could get guest tickets for just $6.00 and I bought tickets for many friends and family.
There were many memorable games during that era of Boise State, but in the early days the most memorable game was the first Boise State vs. Fresno State on ESPN. The stadium was jammed pack during that game, I never saw so many people at Bronco Stadium.

Hey, im Zach, im a pretty easy going guy who loves sports. I really enjoy writing about sports and its the only thing ive ever wanted to do when i grow up. Im goin into my senior year in HS and my 3rd year on the varsity golf team. Im a huge Michigan fan and im a pretty big Boston Red Sox fan. Lace Banachek enjoys diverse arts. As a young boy I use to box in a boys club. Later on in life I studied Martial Arts. In the beginning was Karate. In the later years I enjoyed Kung Fu (White Tiger). Another art is music.

I have been awarded for songwriting contests I have entered. I enjoy writing lyrics and setting them to composition. Some of my music has had airtime (Country and one gospel song in the eighties). My favorite music is 60’s and 70’s and Elvis and Motown Soul is my all time listening pleasure.
