Writer bio

I am an old school Alabama fan. I live, eat, and sleep college football. I played the game, so I know the sacrifices these kids have to make. I have been involved with Alabama football since Bear Bryant's glory days. I have witnessed Alabama winning 7 National Championships..

When I die I plan to have my ashes spread over Bryant-Denny stadium. I only ask that I live long enough to see Alabama win another national championship. It's beginning to look like my days are numbered!

4 - Brett Lissenden

Writer bio

I am an avid sports fan with an emphasis on baseball and college basketball. I also have a strong interest in statistics and so I incorporate them into my articles frequently.

In college sports I am a fan of Penn State, Kentucky, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. I have several favorite pro teams but usually I pull for the underdogs. I have a personal blog which I plan on writing on periodically and then copying articles to here.

5 - Renee Pussman

Writer bio

I've gotta tell you. I hate BYU more than just about anything in the world. Not only do I want the team to lose, I want all of the fans to realize what D-Bags they are. They seriously don't know ANYTHING about sports and they are so narrow minded that their tunnel vision won't let them see anything outside of Provo and their stake houses. What idiots!

6 - Joe Gator

Writer bio

I've been around the game of football for many years. Both my father and grandfather played college football, and I played (until an injury ended my brief stint) at a BCS-level school (before the BCS was introduced). My father was a college referee, and I tagged along to some pretty cool venues from an early age. In other words, I have been steeped in football lore throughout my life. I find many others on this board who have also had football as a central family lifetime focus.

I enjoy the many different points of view on the Bleacher Report, and often find insights and info that the bigger media sources miss. I suspect some of the "big boys" go digging for story ideas here though, as BR story lines often appear in major media a few days after I read them here.

7 - Lou Vozza

Writer bio

Only follow two sports closely. College football and golf. SEC fan, Gator fan. Known for my enthusiastic opposition to any kind of college football playoff system.

A small format mini-playoff will create more controversy than it will solve. A playoff system must have at least 24 teams to be credible. I am against a 24 team playoff because it will destroy the drama of the regular season.

I bleed Crimson in all sports! I play bass in a local rock band here in Alabama named "Wasted Mason", which I named after my trade as a stone/brick mason. I am married and have 2 grown children, one grandson 2 years and 1 grandbaby on the way. Life is good!

Writer bio

Ron Johnson
Height: 6'1
Weight: 175
From: St. Louis, Missouri

If there was ever a man who lived to shake up the foundation on "perfection," it is the enigma known as Ron Johnson. For the past two years, Johnson has been rocking the nation with countless submissions that challenge not only the conscience, but also the sports mind. From his censor filled "My Two Cents" to his comical "Dem Apples," Johnson is living proof that no name wannabes can even have their name etched in history.

Hi everyone. I am the Community Leader for Florida Gators Football here on Bleacher Report.

I am a graduate of the University of Florida with both a BS and MS in Decision and Information Sciences. I lived my entire life in Florida up until January 2008 when I moved to Charlotte, NC for a job. I was born and raised a Gator, and still remain a devoted Gator to this day.

I run the blog year2.wordpress.com and have had opinion articles published in the Orlando Sentinel in the past. I also have had three Bleacher Report articles picked up by FoxSports.com, which is really cool.

University of Utah student and diehard. I really dislike the BCS. I also dislike the elitism of college football in general. I love soccer as well.

17 - J.C. Hagan

Writer bio

Greetings stalkers!

I'm J.C. I used to write articles for the site when it was only a red-and-silver thing with four or five "top writers" on the left hand of the site. See that "93" before my name in the link up top? That means I'm a hardcore old-timer. I even had one of the first articles from here to be featured on deadspin (I think). I like to pull these facts out at the swank B/R cocktail parties.

Of course I've taken liberal amounts of time off. This is probably my third go-around with the site - if there's a B/R "comeback player of the year" award, I want it, and I'm building an army of homicidal robots to get it. While this makes me seem unreliable and mercurial, often times life gets in the way of fun. Sometimes other forms of fun g...

I am a journalism major at Indiana University. I am a proud reporter for the Indiana Daily Student, one of the nation's finest college daily publications. I enjoy the Chicago Cubs above all. I also love the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Hoosiers, and of course I have to give a shout to the New Prairie High School Cougars.

19 - Jacob Nitzberg

Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Heels, Hammers, Hawks.

I bleed Cubbie Blue and love a -35 degree game at Soldier Field. Got to watch MJ in his prime and see Carolina win a title in person. Semester in England turned me onto the EPL and hockey is starting to grab my attention.

20 - Dave Turner

Writer bio

Dave is a Junior at Rowan University with a passion for sports. He is an avid New York Giants, Boston Red Sox, New Jersey Devils and Penn State Football fan. He loves to write and discuss sports as much as possible.

21 - Alex Ferguson

Writer bio

I'm Alex, I'm from London, and I have a job as a journalist. About insurance. If there's anything that can drive the person truly mad, it's years of writing about insurance. Trust me. I know.
But my biggest love is sports. In the UK I love my soccer teams, but I have my big American passions: baseball and football. Sure, I can deal with the odd NBA game and March Madness, as well as a bit of the NFL, but give me Ken Griffey's swing and a Penn State White Out any day of the week.
So here I am. I have a blog - http://viewfromnorthamerica.blogspot.com that I hope you'll look at at some point. And I love writing.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, (the Mormons), first and foremost and served my mission among both PAC-10 and Conference USA fans in Tucson, Ariz. and El Paso, Texas. I love the NFL and am exceptionally pleased with the 4-1 start for my Denver Broncos, while I also like the Dolphins, Colts, Seahawks, Eagles and Lions. Obviously, some of these teams are successful, and some are not, but I also like the NBA (GO Mavs), college basketball and would like college football more, if it weren't for the lack of a playoff. I do have Italian in my bloodlines, so if I'm angry, that's why, while I also have British, Danish and Scottish stock. I am a graduate of Southern Utah University and currently work at Mid-Utah Radio in Manti, Utah.

36 - Aaron Green

Writer bio

I'm a big fan of college sports; most namly college football. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Psychology. Word of warning...I happen to be a rather passionate fan of the Crimson Tide, but I'm not one of those fans that'll yell and scream when ill words are spoken towards Alabama. In other words, I'm not a homer that wears crimson colored shades.

37 - JT Ray

Writer bio

In a weird round about way I ended up in Boise, Idaho in the spring of 1998 and enrolled into school at Boise State University during the spring semester of 1999. In the fall of 1999 I started to attend Boise State Games. Back then you could get guest tickets for just $6.00 and I bought tickets for many friends and family.
There were many memorable games during that era of Boise State, but in the early days the most memorable game was the first Boise State vs. Fresno State on ESPN. The stadium was jammed pack during that game, I never saw so many people at Bronco Stadium.

In May of 2002 I graduated from Boise State with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Of course my senior year of college was during the 9-11 attacks and after graduating finding decent employment was dif...

38 - Jay Hendry

Writer bio

Once every 3 or 4 minutes a child of myth and legend is born. I missed that boat too.

My life can be best described as a series of events that got me to the point I am currently at.

I'm a 4th year student at the University of Florida, Gainesville edition, working on a major in criminology and a mid-major in Business. I'm not seeded yet, but its only November, nobody pays attention to those things until March.

I write mini-articles. Some call them Notrcles; I prefer to think of them as test articles. I once called them Testicles. That got me fired from my last job.

39 - Joe Burgett

Writer bio

Sup Everybody, my name is Joe Burgett, top ranked wrestling writer currently for B/R. I have always been a wrestling fan, but also I am a big just sports fan. I live in a place where college football is the sport. So it is one thing I am into.

I am currently in college taking TV Broadcasting, yet I want to get into both Radio and TV in my career. Writing is something I love to do, because I can share my opinion. That is why B/R is so great for me.

Wrestling is a big passion for me, I have written for websites a lot on news and what not. But I could only do news and not share my opinion. And I am very opinionated, trust me. I will tell you my opinion because they are mine, if you don't like them I am sorry. We will have to agree to disagree.

I am currently getting my own webshow...

41 - Mike Eagan

Writer bio

Mr. Eagan's eclectic sporting interests are derived from the patchwork quilt that is his life. Descended of an Irish-Catholic, lawyer-breeding family from New Orleans, Eagan was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated in 2005 from the University of Notre Dame du Lac in South Bend, IN. While studying in London during the Spring of 2004, Eagan acquired a taste for Premiership football and Westminster's finest pubs. He recently relocated from San Francisco to the hilly terrain of the Stanford University campus, where he is attending law school. Go figure.

Eagan has had the opportunity to have attended some very memorable sporting moments in his 25 years of life, including:

- Game 4 of the 1989 World Series (not the Earthquake game that would have been much cooler)
- Barry...
