Mariners say, Nah, We'll Keep Our Enigma

Elliott has covered sports in California, Texas and Washington, most recently at The Olympian, where he spent six years as a reporter, mainly focusing on high school sports, the Seattle Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks. He was there at the last game played at The Kingdome and its eventual demolition, the Mariners’ 116-win season, too many rainy days at Husky Stadium, the Cougars’ Rose Bowl rout at the hands of Oklahoma, and even WrestleMania. Elliott continues to do freelance reporting for area newspapers and MSN.com.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the same report the other day. What on Earth were they thinking? Jackson is even a fly-ball...
Ben Brown replied…
You people make me laugh
Matt Trueblood replied…
Why? Who? That comment really didn't add much...
No one is going to ever take you seriously if you write about the Mariners with your picture being the Steelers logo. Jackson is a first...
Scott Mckee replied…
Yea Until Harden gets a fatigued arm in April, and is out till June, then Inflammation...
Ron Potter replied…
That's okay - as long as he's ready for October!
I'd love to see Jackson playing in Mariners uniform in pitcher friendly Safeco with league's best defence. I like Morrow, but he still has a lot...
Cody Nielsen replied…
Jackson has a career ERA over 4, and one (half) season of success at the Major...
I think it is a wise move on Z's part, as chad said its all about team control, we give up to players who are Major...
That was stupid.
Shanan H. replied…
Junior high, actually. Would you like me to write a five paragraph essay on why Edwin...
Elliott Smith replied…
Did you read the story? I think Jackson is better than Morrow too.
Yes, Jackson has done something, finally. Morrow has only had 15 starts so far and has had some success, e.g., a near no-hitter and a one-hitter....
It all has to do with team control. The Mariners and GMZ believe that Morrow still has the capability of living up to the expectations when...

Hey,
In 1996, The Yankees had a magical season that would end with a World Championship. In this article, I take a look at the first time I thought the season could be special, a game vs. the Seattle Mariners on May 14th, 1996 at Yankee Stadium, Dwight Gooden on the mound, the rest is history. Please take a look and comment as well. Thanks in advance
