Tony's Fans (9)
Tony's Bio
I'm the kind of hockey fan who spends his summer pacing... anxiously waiting for the new season to begin. I've been living and breathing hockey since my 1st pair of Daoust skates back in Montreal. My dad was a soccer fan and didn't care much for hockey so how I became so passionate about this sport remains a mystery. Through good times and bad, I've been a Habs fan. Over the past 5 decades, I've had the pleasure of seeing them hoist many Stanley Cups. My dream is to see them do it in the Bell Centre.

Hey Tony—Dave Mo here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.
I've been spending time on our Canadians page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.
Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?
If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at dmorrison@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.
Thanks so much,
Dave Mo

I change my mind, I'll take overtime anytime over that horror last night.
As for the history...it's great fun. Any requests? I've got a line on most everything but statistics.

Nothing like a swift kick. Now if only my other team would quit going to overtime...

haha I was wondering the same thing about the Sens tonight. Fleury did play a great game, and the PK was as good as I've seen it all year. Roberts is just a monster in the playoffs, but it was great to see him get back on track tonight. The Pens 4th line looked like their top line everytime they came on the ice. Great game to watch, for a Pens fan at least.

Hey Tony, no problem on the add, I enjoy reading something that doesn't classify Crosby as a diver and whiner, and the Pens as a strictly offensive team with poor goaltending haha.
The game is still about 3 hours away, but I've been distracted all day long by it. Should be a good one. Take it easy.

hi,
I wanted to ask if you knew the meaning of the "16 for 25" ad on the canadiens website. What does the 16 stand for, and the 25? Is it for 25th Stanley Cup ?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
thank you

I know what you mean. Their ticket prices are insane and their management is completely dysfunctional. In the meantime, fans like you and me can't afford to go to games. I'll stay a Habs fan, thank you very much.

I've only been to Montreal once, but I loved it so much I'm scheming to get back as often as possible, even though my French is horrid.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that the Leafs get a major structural renovation.

Thanks. I've always been interested in history and the oddball side of it. Are you still in Montreal?

Thanks for commenting. The series will be fun.

Seriously?? Uh it's short for les Habitants... not sure when the nickname came into being. It means inhabitants or the name given to people of French origin.
Hope that helps.
