Here's what I'll say to you,
Black fighters have become the biggest stars in Boxing's history.
The first must-see event of the 20th century was Jack Johnson vs. James J Jeffries.
Why? because that Black athlete couldn't be beat.
In fact, the only fighter Johnson ran scared of was Sam Langford, another black fighter.
If you look at most journalist's top 25 fighters, it'll have mostly black fighters.
Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong & Muhammad Ali regularly grace the top 3.
The greatest White fighter is Willie Pep, arguably the greatest period.
But how many White fighters after him really compare to Joe Louis or Floyd Patterson?
Or let's just keep it modern, what White fighter in the past 25 years has done more than Sugar Ray Leonard?
Jeff Harding's amazing, but he still wasn't no Sugar Ray or even a Gerald McClellan.
I just made my list to celebrate one race' huge contribution to modern boxing.
But I do plan on making other lists, including one about the top 20 European fighters.
