Just posted my latest. Breaking down my expectations for the Cowboys' 2009 season. If you have a second, I would love your feedback, but if you cannot get around to it, no worries! Thansk!
We have seen a ton of lists, rankings, etc. all over B/R. I finally tried one of my own, but I tried to tackle this particular list from a different angle than the norm. My list is of the 10 Most Valuable Offensive Players in the NFL.
These players aren't necessarily the best in the league, or even the best at their positions, but rather the 10 players that mean the most to their particular team's SB chances.
Would love your input if you have a chance. If not, no worries. Thanks!
Dude, you're one hell of a writer! You did Baylor proud! haha
I FINALLY got a chance to check out your blog on racism, and it was a great read. I was particularly impressed that you attacked the issue from all sides, instead of just focusing on one small part of the argument.
You are right when you say that racism is all around us, but it has taken on a new face. Some people choose to ignore it because thats the easy reaction, and some people choose to scream about it from the rooftops. Neither one of those approaches are correct in my opinion.
As you said, without open discussion about it, it will never go away. Which sadly means that we will carry the burden of racism (to some degree) for the rest of our existence.
"According to him, because there is no historical dominance of one ethnic group over the others, as there is in the United States, people don’t look at one another as different races."
That was the most interesting part of the entire article to me. I have never thought about it like that, but it makes complete sense. In the case of the US, we are letting our history define our present.
I don't know what else to say. I pretty much agreed with everything you said, and thoroughly enjoyed your writing style. If you ever write an article on here, I wanna read it dude!
A little too tired to read your article tonight, but I'll def check it out tomorrow. I started to read it, but it was a little too long for 2:00 reading haha
I'm sure its great though, I'll let ya know my thoughts on it after I check it out!
Omagus:NFL runningback Ryan Moats was pulled over last week on the way to the hospital to say goodbye to his dieing mother-in-law. He was detained and harassed by the officer for almost 15 minutes, and in that time his mother-in-law passed away. He was not able to get to her in time to say goodbye.
I was heartbroken when I heard this story, but enraged when I actually saw a 17 minute video of the entire incident. I have never seen such an abuse of power in my life.
Because of the nature of this subject, this article was pretty important to me. I would love if you could check it out when you get a chance. If not, no problem. Thanks!
I'm not so sure that there is enough sports content to truly classify this as a sports article, but here is my latest work. I am doing some "Spring Cleaning" by airing a few gripes I have about my Dallas Cowboys.
If you have a chance and want to, check it out. If not, absolutely no worries. Thanks!
March Madness is a time where we all come together to enjoy the moment. But is it the greatest sporting event in the sports world? I have something to say about that. Comment please.:)
I am not sure if you are into football, but myself, James Williamson, and Andrew Nuschler have put together a Dallas Cowboys' roundtable. Our second installment is focusing on—you guessed it—the news of the Terrell Owens release.
It's a lengthy read, but there is some pretty good stuff in there. Check it out if you have a chance. If you can't get around to it, no worries. Thanks!
Despite the fact that I knew little about Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper before this weekend, their tragic boating accident has really hit me kind of hard. I think it is a pretty heartbreaking story, and I think that we as fans can learn a lot from it.
Check it out if you have a chance. If not, no worries! Hope you enjoy!
Ahhh, now I know where the fan add came from! Haha I'm class of '06. Let's beat Texas tonight!! I still haven't quite given up on making the NCAAs, but we're going to need a good run in the Big XII tourney
