Raider Card's Bio

The result of an older brother following the Raiders and a Father who follows the Broncos, Joseph Budd was tuned to the Raiders at a young age, starting with Ken Stabler's game against the Vikings in the 1976 season. Going through school, he was the subject of ridicule and resentment, especially after cheering for the Raiders through two more Super Bowl wins, and watched in horror when Bo Jackson's career was derailed.

Never giving up on his team, Joe went on to college, and took his hobby into business, opening a card shop, trading, and doing business both before and after the internet took off, selling cards and collectables.

After discovering that there was no physical way to collect every single card when your name is not Donald Trump, Joe decided to pursue the Raider cards. All Raider Cards.
Shortly after his 30th birthday, his wife made the mild comment, "You are a Card Addict, aren't you?"
To this day, it's been a title worn proudly....as Raider Card Addict, or, as he's known to Raider Fans, RCAinSD.

  6. I grew up hating the Vikes, because my older brothers/grandparents LOVE the Bears.

My other grandparents have lived in Colorado ever since I can remember, thus, the Broncos are my boys.

  7. Raider Card,

Thanks for the kind words and a fun week as well. Congratulations, to be honest with you, I had no idea we were matched up against each other. I found it interesting knew something was going on when I noticed 5 articles regarding one game. Oh and I will always ignore mike 49er, mikey or whatever he chooses to call himself this week.

    JL-Out!

  8. Once again, you win easily. Great job!

  9. RC-

Good double team on Mikey the Whiner.

I don't see the Raiders as a "good team" just yet. Of all of the bad teams in the NFL, we are certainly on the best track for improvement as long as the owner does not fire the coach. When you have a dominant running game, you have something to build on. When we can defend good teams and get over 50% on third down in passing situations, I'll consider us a good team.

The 49ers also had a gutsy win in Seattle. The Raiders had a dominating win. If you win by two scores and throw for 55 yards...that means the other team can't stop you even though they know exactly what is coming.

I watched the Bills-Jags game last night. Everytime the Jags blitzted Edwards there was no gain at best. The Jags had success all day running the ball. They got the ball with less than 5 minutes on the clock and threw three straight passes - 3 and out, never saw the ball again. Keys to the game - pressure Edwards and run the ball.

  10. Fresh Raider and USC articles now available - get 'em while they are hot.

  11. Hi,

Just read two pieces, and someone is lying about Al's involvement with the "D":

    http://www.ibabuzz.com/raidersblog/2008/09/11/ryan-fires-back/
Ryan says:“When I deal with Al Davis, guys, it’s in the offseason. And here’s the thing: Al Davis knows football. And I’ll have four-hour conversations with him in the offseason about everything in this league."

    http://www.sacbee.com/raiders/story/1227677.html
Kiffin says:"Rob and the owner are always in communication," Kiffin said. "For the most part, I let Rob do his thing over there. He has a belief in certain things and he has a conversation with the owner about that. So, that wasn't the way the game plan ended up the other night."

This is the real problem with our club...Ryan & Kiffin are not talking. The buck stops with the head coach on every other team except ours.

    thanks for listening...I'm so pissed!!!!
    Tony

  15. Hey,
Just an FYI, you won handily. Good job!
